i think this is a big fee. 1% for every transaction you do with a card and 3% if it is in a different currency. my bank is taking less. whats the difference between this card and say tenX
TenX is also not available for users outside the EU. However, they have lower fees (0% Foreign Exchange Fee), a better support, and they only support BTC but are currently beta testing ETH, ERC20 tokens and DASH.

Thanks for providing this info, I just got an e-mail from shakepay and the fees are states as below:
"Fees during the alpha
1% when funding your card with bitcoin
3% if your card is used in a foreign transaction (i.e. USD card charged in a EUR transaction)"

This is a wave crest correct?
So, not available outside EU?
That's correct.

any new sign ups to Shakepay will require to have an address of residence within this list of European countries.

Just an update that I still DO NOT have my deposit.

They are ignoring my support tickets.

They are taking deposits and keeping the money themselves.

There are others the same.

Be warned of the Shake scammers.

Let's hope for the best, subscribed on your website: "You're in line for early access!", so there is no hidded fee?

We charge 1% on the bitcoin -> fiat exchange using BitPay's BBB rate. There's a bit more info in this blog post: http://blog.shakepay.co/2016/introducing-shake-alpha/

So not much different from BitPay with the exception of the added 1%?
To avoid the 3 % charge you would need to make multiple cards.

Unless you can beat BitPay what’s the upside? I have used 3 different services

Wirex and cryptopay don’t work and BitPay works everywhere I go. Uk. U.S.A. egypt And Amsterdam so it’s great

Fees also same I think without the 1% charge to top up

Shakepay - min deposit $20  Angry

It's now $40 for Litecoin.

I've made a deposit a few days ago and they won't credit my account, they are also ignoring my support requests.

A search on Twitter shows lots of others with same problem.

Avoid ShakePay - They are scamming deposits like AdvCash.

They are scammmers sent Ethereum deposit over a week ago and still pending saying their card issuer delays it but they exchange out all the money using changelly as soon as they got it, very dissapointed with their behaviour and still I have no Ethereum or no money in the account.

This website is a scam ! Stay away !
I've deposited $95 on the website and the first problem was that they didn't provide me the virtual card instant due to an issue. After 2 days the card was activated and tried to pay online. The card was declined, I've tried 6 times, every time declined! I've contacted the support and they pretend everything should be ok, I've tried on 2 different merchants and declined. I've contacted again the support to refund all my money and from 4 days, they don't answer to my problem anymore ! BEWARE OF THIS SCAM ! There are a lot of other similar services better x10 times.

Looks like scam to me. Sent ETH a week ago and it's still "pending". Support doesn't reply anything, so I'm pretty sure I'm scammed.

Thanks bro, while not being their client asked a question to clarify some service conditions to support few months ago and still didn't get reply, now I'm sure not to signup for this.

Sorry to bump again, but are there any new developments on this project? How is it better than TenX or Monaco? I'm currently in the process of selecting a Bitcoin card - so convince me  Grin

I am interested in getting a crypto card as well but seems like it can only onboard users from the list of countries.

This is really good news. They are issuing also to Turkey which is very unexpected. Generally it would be banned first for us. Would really love to get one.

Shake Atm/Debit card can not be accessible in many countries. I tried to contact them and ask if their availabilty in my country but they just turned a deaf ear. First of all it got crypto card fee plus on every transaction you have to pay fees.. Not positive from my opinion.

Thanks for reply - I do live in Europe, but at the moment I'm leaning towards Tenx, so I think I'll get their card.

P.s: Shakepay cards are issued by Wavecrest, which means that you won't be able to have a card anymore if you don't live in the Europe. TenX is using a different issuer, and they said in a recent video that they will be able to provide cards for countries outside the Europe.

I have a VCC with Shakepay and already emptied all my balance because of that.

First contactless crypto card I've seen! Wirex are bringing one out soon though, so are TenX.
