1. What is the main reason why are you here in the forum?
2. What are the benefits that you get from the bitcointalk forum?
* Knowledge
* currencies
* Friends

The given answers will only cover the three options on your next question. It will not give varied answers.

Honestly I prefer the way zasad@ has filtered out the motivational users who answered this kind of question so that its really useful for others, although it is a bit long but not boring to read (especially belonging to an admired member). Impressed to honor the person who was invited to the thread, and yes that's cool in my opinion.

3. What is more important knowledge or money?
In practical life yes money is more important.
But for me, I'll choose knowledge cause if you are knowledgeable enough you can make money from different things but money cannot buy more knowledge.
What a question. But for me, it will be knowledge. As long you have it, kkbey will come at you if you used that on many things. That's typically common sense. But Im not gonna judge those who will choose money, like you mentioned it was practical. There are some who has knowledge but afraid to use it to earn money, and there are also some(actually many) who uses to much knowledge to earn money, then ending up evil.

My idea is very simple, that is, there is a place where I can see the real content and don't want to tell lies, and I can learn something I don't know. As for whether I can get merits, I don’t care about it. Other than that, I have no interest in the bounty program.

I think your reference thread has many answers that you are looking for. I had replied there that I wasn't aware of the signature campaign from where you can earn. As of now, from the forum, I am getting multiple benefits. I am earning a decent amount of passive income and learning as well. A lot of things I learned from the forum, wouldn't end by describing. I just honestly said what I am getting benefits.

Regarding knowledge & money, both are important in real life. Knowledge and money are related to each other always. But for the forum, of course, Knowledge is the most important thing. Without knowledge, you can't earn anything from the forum. I am talking about the forum since you raised the question here. So first you need to learn, gain knowledge then you may start earning. No matter which way you can earn. There are a lot of opportunities in the forum to sell your skill. You may choose any based on your skill and knowledge. ]

~

I am getting a strange vibe on these type of thread, but meh here it goes.

1. Discussions and conversations. I have a Reddit account that is also intended for crypto discussion, but I don't get a really good discussions there that much. It seems like biased mostly to those users with the most karma, and my post just ended up getting buried the lowermost part of the post which will likely don't get noticed. Here in the forum, even if I didn't have the 4-digit merits, people were still open to correct and educate me.

2. News. I don't really reply that much to news threads in Bitcoin Discussion, but it is a really benefit for me when I always ask the market "WTF is going on?".
The BTCs I get from SC is just a little icing on the cake, but sure I'll mention that.

3. Both are important.

And then where did you get that money to spend your needs and wants?
From salary on your work? Which are you need more knowledge to perfect/master your work.
Then if you do not have any knowledge and you have much money I'll tell you it's still useless even to count your money you can't do that cause of knowledge lacking. So knowledge first before the money. Grin peace Pmalek.
Not all types of work require extensive schooling and knowledge. Some require bravery, a strong physique, being funny, or not being afraid of public appearances and speeches. A certain type of industry requires big schlongs or silicon breast.

There is a funny saying I heard some time ago and it goes like this: "Education is important but big biceps are importanter".

Ok, similar like you made appears on meta notthat rarely and I already responded multiple times to it, but I can repeat my thoughts
1. My initial reason to make account on Bitcointalk was Bitcoin faucets. I came here to discover new fauccets on Micro earningssection. For some time i was lurking here without having account, later when I already signed up, for few months I didn't went outside Micro Ernings section because of limited knowledge. Later I made my own faucet list and started to promote it here. I earned quite significant money from it, especially in current value Smiley.
2. I won't say nothing new or unique. I learned a lot of things about Bitcoin and crypto and forum helped me to earn some good amount of money.
3.My answer to this question is short - knowledge helps to earn money. Without it miracle won't happen and money won't drop from the sky for you (Unless you will win in lottery.

OP, I think everyone will have one answer and it looks like threads like this I've come across a few times on the forums. Imo, it's generally just about money and money because whatever brought us to this forum is because bitcoin is defined as a currency. I admit that money is not everything, but when I have to make ends meet then it takes money.

Anyone could say they just want to learn, but in essence they study it just to make money regardless of whether they are miners, investors, traders or so on. But the biggest advantage that I feel while on this forum is not about money but I started to learn a lot about English, made many online friends from various countries and helped increase the popularity of bitcoin in the real world.

1. What is the main reason why are you here in the forum?
My interest in bitcoin investment has brought me closer to the bitcoin community around the world especially everyone who is on this bitcoin forum. Actually I was not interested in having a forum account at first because some people I met always said that this forum has a high level of difficulty to rank up because of the merit system. But that doesn't stop me from ignoring this forum because I'm so challenged to find out what's really going on that they say it's hard. I started signing up and I started reading the rules and started posting once in a while.

But after some time I started to realize that if I can interact well with my fellow users in a discussion then I can move up the rank. The more I interacted on the forum the more knowledge I gained and my enthusiasm started to increase when some users started providing services to me even though I wasn't as active as I am now. Yes, it was my motivation that made me who I am today. This should be the answer to your first question from me.

Quote
2. What are the benefits that you get from the bitcointalk forum?
Knowledge is first advantage and second is money. I learned a lot about identifying spam posts and starting to report them. I was also able to find cheats though a few times had to ask more experienced members and I'm happy to do so until now.

Quote
3. What is more important knowledge or money?
Knowledge, if I have no knowledge in this forum then I firmly believe every post I make will only end up in spam which only moderators will delete. Knowledge makes me better to post constructively and with that too I can generate additional fund for my investment.

Yeah, I also participated in that poll and made a lengthy comment on my pick.

3. What is more important knowledge or money?
Let me respond to this controversial one. On that I will simply put it as this – Knowledge begets money. Even while here, one may not even make money if one doesn't have the knowledge to make constructive posts or necessary skills for article writing. I've seen a lot of users who get rejected or thrown out of campaigns because of poor post quality. If they had that knowledge, they would make money by making great posts and being in campaigns. However, while I believe knowledge comes first before money, it won't be any beneficial if knowledge doesn't translate to cash to put food on the table. Putting food on the table is a necessity, and if knowledge doesn't make money to do that then it's shortchanged.

I don't know what is the link between science/knowledge and signature campaigns? Because it can be achieved by participating in signature campaigns, and given that the forum is multi-country, a 300$/month may be enough to live a good life in one of the countries and thus a full-time job (if we ignore the increase that comes from price volatility.)

The question may be as good as continuing to study a master/PHD's or working hard to buy bitcoin because its value will increase.
But knowledge and money can be gained by sharing opinions and developing skills, signature campaigns can help you with that.

Interesting questions, let's see  Cheesy

1. What is the main reason why are you here in the forum?
I came to this forum 7 years ago and in the beginning the main reason was to understand what bitcoin is and what it is really about.
Later, the reasons changed. I made some friends here, I somehow got used to looking for some information here and not elsewhere on the Internet and I like the possibility that someone will give me a fee in btc for what I would do anyway, to be active on the forum and write posts.

2. What are the benefits that you get from the bitcointalk forum?
A sense of belonging to a community of people who think similarly and have a similar life vision, socializing and friendship, interesting discussions, information and earning opportunities.

3. What is more important knowledge or money?
Knowledge is always more important because with knowledge you can make money and if you happen to make money, without knowledge and experience you will quickly run out of money.

but money cannot buy more knowledge.

I disagree, with money you could buy books, paid tutorials/guides, and even higher education. With a degree (could be bachelor, master, or Ph.D.), there are more jobs available for you.
It's all connected in different ways. Money and wealth give you access to things that you wouldn't have with knowledge alone. Your knowledge can get you accepted into a great college, but you need money to pay the tuition (unless you get a scholarship). Knowledge can land you that dream job you always wanted. But you need money to find a new apartment in a new town or maybe the country where the position is located. New clothes, suits, travel expenses, etc., etc.

OP, you might want to dig a little deeper into Meta or some other sections and read about the questions you've asked of the community here.  I'm not telling you to shut up and stop posting, but I think you'd find some interesting reading if you go back a few years in some of the better sections here.  I'd recommend that to anyone who hasn't done so; bitcointalk has changed a lot since its inception, and looking at the old threads and posts is fascinating stuff.
Oh hello, @The Pharmacist thanks for your wonderful suggestion I think you are right that I need to dig a little deeper here in the forum for further knowledge. And from now on I'll do that.

And you are right also that from time to time there's a change here in the forum. In addition, many users will come here and that's the reason why I create this topic cause to know their opinions and thoughts.

Is this even a topic for Meta?  These seem like questions that keep getting asked over and over in sections like Bitcoin Discussion (and probably B&H), especially the "This or That?" kind of stuff.  And I think I've written about my path to becoming a member of bitcointalk at least three times since I've been here, so I'm going to skip it.

OP, you might want to dig a little deeper into Meta or some other sections and read about the questions you've asked of the community here.  I'm not telling you to shut up and stop posting, but I think you'd find some interesting reading if you go back a few years in some of the better sections here.  In fact, I'd recommend that to anyone who hasn't done so; bitcointalk has changed a lot since its inception, and looking at the old threads and posts is fascinating stuff.

And I'd say most people here for money, not knowledge, but it's not a two-choice question anyway.  Some people are here just to interact with other members, some are here to troll.  If you think of things in black-and-white terms without considering all the possibilities, you're not using your noggin.

1. What is the main reason why are you here in the forum?
I joined to learn more about Bitcoin. There are other monetary benefits to the forum such as signature campaigns and bounties
2. What are the benefits that you get from the bitcointalk forum?
1. Information. 2. A community

3. What is more important knowledge or money?
The problem with this kind of question is everyone wants to appear a certain way to please the expectation of the majority. Many will lean towards a certain point of view. I'm not your regular Bitcointalk guy I choose money. Education isn't cheap, you'd need money to have an education. With money you can hire the best in each field to work for you.

This topic has already been broadly talked about a good number of times now. But just to summarize my answer:

Came here solely for the money, stayed for both the knowledge AND the money. The beautiful thing about signature campaigns is that you can get paid while actually interacting to other people about a topic you're really interested in. It's just quite unfortunate that a lot of users that are in campaigns obviously doesn't have any interest besides the money; hence why we got multi-year old users that seem to only have very basic knowledge.

1. What is the main reason why are you here in the forum?
Nothing, Suddenly I'm already here, don't know why I'm here, destiny maybe.

2. What are the benefits that you get from the bitcointalk forum?
aha, I'm not a hypocrite, I get a lot of advantages here.
1. Garden, maybe, I can get to know the girl and gentlemen, Russia, arabic, italian, dutch, Turkey, India, Germany, Croatia, Philippines, England, Greece, France and many others here.
1. Science, that's for sure.
2. Money yes has become an open secret.

3. What is more important knowledge or money?
Both, knowledge is important and money is more important, nowadays having knowledge without money is not in line on the contrary having money does not have knowledge, it is also messy, so both are important.

That's all from me, have another question.
Regards.

I'm all in for knowledge and education and that's the reason I made my account here. I had no idea about Bitcoin, didn't seem to understand it, and this place here made me to. Both money and knowledge are important, but what to do with money if you aren't knowledgeable enough to retain your wealth? It reminds me of this quote:

Quote from: Robert T. Kiyosaki - Rich Dad Poor Dad
Money without financial intelligence is money soon gone

And how will you develop your financial intelligence? Books. So, first knowledge, second money.

What is more important knowledge or money?
I feel nostalgic. It's as if I'm back in school and the teacher asked us to write an essay titled "is knowledge better or wealth" and we're supposed to say "knowledge". Then I grew older and realized wealth is more important. Then I grew older and realized the life is not a choice between A or B, there are hundreds of choices in front of you one of which is to choose "both".

I came to this forum for knowledge, but that knowledge gave me money too. I understood what bitcoin is through that knowledge that gave me an insight into its true potential which helped me improve my finances.

I was here on this forum to be among the people that are using bitcoin to discuss about how to avoid scam and how to be using bitcoin in the right way so that I will not lose my coin but when I joined I realised that there was more as additional advantage of this forum.

The benefit I get from this forum is knowledge and exposure but I also joined a campaign when this forum was getting interesting to me and I earned bitcoin as well.

Knowledge and exposure are most important in life, without knowledge and exposure no money. If a rich man can become poor, his knowledge and exposure will help that not to happen but to multiply his wealth.

Hello Meta I am Shamm permission to post it here. I don't know if this topic is already tackled by someone else here and I don't know also if this topic suitable for this board.

A few days ago @TheBeardedBaby made a thread If the signature campaigns are removed from the forum, will you stay or leave?.
I have some questions for you guys I do hope I get some response. I'll share first.

1. What is the main reason why are you here in the forum?
Way back in May 2021 I watched videos about cryptocurrencies in the Computer shop and then a friend of mine,  talk to me this "are you going to learn about crypto? Are you interested?" I answered yes I want to learn crypto then he introduced this forum to me give me some advice and the rules and regulation about this forum. In short, I am here to explore the world of cryptocurrencies.

2. What are the benefits that you get from the bitcointalk forum?
* Knowledge - this forum gives me a lot of knowledge about Bitcoin and related cryptocurrencies. This forum is like a school every day I came here and read some articles it helps me to fulfill my empty knowledge storage.
* currencies - through bounty campaigns I'll earn some currencies.
* Friends- here in the forum I met 3 friends from different countries who shared their knowledge with me.

3. What is more important knowledge or money?
In practical life yes money is more important.
But for me, I'll choose knowledge cause if you are knowledgeable enough you can make money from different things but money cannot buy more knowledge.

What are your thoughts can you share?
