Currently, two meme coins are in the spotlight, especially Doge coin and Shiba Inu coin.  Everyone is surprised to see the market pump of these two coins, although the price of these two coins has increased due to some news.  The meme coin has no use case and no strong base.  It is doubtful how much these meme coins will be able to retain their value in this market in the future.  Investing funds in Shiba Inu coin and making a profit from it is a complete risk.

Project like Shiba inu is solely base on hype and nothing more, this is temporary type of investment that give quick profit if you are lucky, and from the look of things the market seem to be in a good shape and it is very likely it will be bullish till year end, project like Shiba inu can get an unexpected pump in the process, this are my assumptions, the rest is up to you to decide,  you should not forget about the risk involve too.

So basically don't put money into it that I'm not willing to lose, I see.

It's basically like a lottery ticket, probably nothing will come out of it but who knows haha  Cheesy

Shiba was an over rated coin and it's only wasting your money lol but i just expect the random pump from the pumpers can happen anytime but again you are also betting into the coin that doesn't have utility usecase
It's better if you try to put your money in a good coin like some NFT projects that have developed a really good product such as game and many more.

Thank you very much for your response, what you're saying makes sense, but I have no clue why a lot of people tell me that it has utility behind it. What utility are they talking about if it's just a meme coin? and yeah I know that there could be pumps, just you could call what I want wishful thinking, but it is what it is. NFTs are a whole different subject though  Grin

Just recently (needed the money) I sold all of my doge.

I made a lot of money out of it but nothing significant (40 USD purchase turned to 170).

Now Doge is too expensive to buy 1111 doge so I’m looking for a cheap coin with potential.

Shiba sounds okay but literally 50% say it’s a scam and 50% say it’s legit. Can you guys chime in please?
  Huh

After lose of huge money in Shiba inu,I had sol with 50 percentage of loss. But now,the price of shiba inu started to rise again. It may be the time to sell with some profit. But I suggest the new people to hold for now and don't buy anything.Because, you may lose as like me,if you invest at the time of new pump by bitcoin price.

I'm sorry that you lost money on shiba, and I appreciate how you're trying to prevent me from losing money. Investing is risky business that is why I am creating this discussion, hoping the community will help me out as well as other potential buyers!

I don't think that shiba-inu is a scam, i mean they are a second generation meme-coin so they have per definition no real use case and basically exist for no reason so i would say that meme-coins can't actually even be a scam because they never promised to offer a real product or a use-case or stuff like that. The only thing that could happen would be that the developers make a rug pull which means a total loss of your funds. Does this mean i would personally invest into a meme-coin? No, it doesn't but if you are into meme-coins then i would say that shiba-inu is probably one of the safer projects to put your money into, but there are definitely better projects out there to put your 170 bucks into.

The first person so far to offer a different pov, this makes things a bit interesting. I'm still leaning towards not buying

The tally right now is at:

4 - 1 In favor on NOT buying Shiba Inu

Both Shiba Inu and Dogecoin are meme coins, making them more volatile at times.
In addition, the most significant risk of investing in any cryptocurrency is that it is not regulated by a state agency or has a legal entity to oversee its operations.

You're absolutely right.. Maybe subconsciously I wanted to invest into a meme coin in hopes that I'd get a doge 2.0  Sad

The Shiba Inu coin is a cryptocurrency token that allows its buyers to get SHIB in large quantities because the price is very cheap compared to other coins. Apart from its skyrocketing popularity, there is still little information that can be known about the SHIB token, including its uses and fundamentals. That means, the risks surrounding the Shiba Inu token are quite high. Even though it is high risk, novice investors should research first before investing.

I see, so for now it's looking like a meme coin with not much utility, thanks so much for your response!

So far the tally is:

2 - 0 in favor of not investing in Shiba  Smiley

If you want to invest into coins with potential meme coins are not the way to do this.

DOGE might be the biggest of all meme coins but would not trust it, as for the rest of meme tokens they soon will all be worthless.

I suggest you look into coins with some utility like Dot, CSPR, MINA, and if you're at it and want to go with more than a few hundred bucks might as well explore with BTC and ETH...

That is really good advice, it just stinks that the potential profits out of established coins isn't as high as meme coins. The saddest part is that if I hodled doge for a week longer, I would have had a thousand dollars in my wallet  Cry
