Don't go around packing some shitcoins to take advantage of altcoin season, I had a friend who is doing this presently thinking that the market will perform just like 2017 bull market where many shitcoins brings insane amount of profits for their holders, as you can see presently only top altcoins are benefiting the most out of the present bullrun, it's more about project's use cases and utilities, not some unrealistic Hypes anymore
You are indeed right, altcoins season will be or is different this time around unlike before, this is because investors have learnt the hard truth and hard lesson thus won't make that mistake of going for some shitcoins with nothing but hype. Also, I think many new projects will soon start coming up with their usual hype but yet, this time will be different. In my own opinion, I think your friend is making a mistake and it would be best for him to stop, I also think many shitcoins will lose their value because investors will tend to go for more profitable coins, in this case pulling out their funds and buying good coins. Lastly, you are also correct about the top altcoins, they are currently the ones growing because from all indications they offer good uses cases in addition to having an active team who are serious about what they are working on.
I've been through the same times, when i was hoping my shitcoin would increase and reach my expected value, but what happened gave me a lesson. Hope the shitcoin will increase in price when the altcoin season comes, instead if you want those projects to increase as expected, choose for yourself the projects that are really easy and capable as well as potential success in the future. I believe that if everyone researches and thoroughly learns about the market, we will not have to worry about the events happening in this market.
