Yes.
I think I have said this for a number of times while it was increasing so fast.
I would rather pick the slow but steady move and not rhe fast one.
It was a scary ride and the conclusion is this, we can all see it now.
There may have been those who profited from it but I think there is still a bigger percentage of people who hodls.

The fast rise in the price is the only cause of attention and hype it has got. If the price increased slowly, no one would have noticed it.

slowly and steady walk is always better for a coin than a huge Bull run.We so too much buy at BTC on last month and now watching a huge correction.slow and steady runs never creates unbearable market corrections.

I think if bitcoin rose quite steadily and slowly people wouldn't look at the best cryptocurrency with an "evil eye". Going forward, do you think a slow steady rise, rather than a speedy erratic rise is good for bitcoin to get "accepted" all over the world? The sudden rise seems to scare people and  governments.
The slowly rising of the price of bitcoin is a normal and a good thing to a bitcoin holder and bitcoin buyer/ seller. But the rapid increase of price is unusual happenings in bitcoin. I think a year from now government will accept bitcoin as a currency to all, just wait and let use see what will happen.

I think the growth of BTC has been slow!
Imagine the number of people involved in BTC worldwide!
The price of BTC is the market decision!
Technical updates to BTC also affect prices.
All this surface BTC is growing steadily!

I think starting in march will bitcoin will rise up again should wait what will be there decision.

I said it before as well that bitcoin is rising too fast and that is "Too Fast Too Furious"
It is always better to rise steadily and make your foundations strong while you rising up and that is "sustainability"
In my opinion, currently we are mourning of bitcoin dip and also we are very confuse about the market situation. If all deny about it, then I can say I'm at least confuse.

Bitcoin dip mourning also effected altcoin market very deeply. I'm saying it because I have seen even with a strong news of a coin the market didn't respond.

I hope soon we will recover from confusion and the market will be normal as before.

The study growth could not make any impact in bitcoin growth both negative and positive sudden growth made negative impact based on my speculation if bitcoin didnot got the rapid growth government’s could be least bother about this.

We must remember that bitcoin is volatile enough for it's price to go beyond it's price now, but we need to have faith and be more patient. Just bare in mind that this situation happened numerous times already, so there is a guarantee that bitcoin will be able to recover. We just need to wait for that time to come.

Hi,

Actually I think the problem is not just the rise. It is also all that moments during which bitcoin goes down.. Nobody knows why, or to which extend but suddenly everyone fears to lose everything. And panic sell. So the price goes down again!

The issue of volatility regarding bitcoin is real and should indeed be dealt with. But the point is that the principle is to get rid of any control authority. Without control, erratic moves seem logical. So what?

For most government, I think volatility is rather an excuse than a real concern. They don't want to hear about currency allowing people to remain anonymous and preventing them from the effects of any authority.
For the people, though, volatility may be a real concern. For the moment, the only answer that can be provided is "only invest what you can afford to lose". I understand that this can be perceived as risky...

Very well thought answer. I also agree the "volatility" is now being used as their excuse on why they should never allow cryptocurrency. This volatility thingy is also being used by bankers as weapon to mislead the public to give a bad image to crypto calling it as a "bubble".

The same thing have come to my mind during the peak days of bitcoin on the previous year. Its sudden increase in value have attacted alot of people who would like to invest and so attracted alot of scammers as well which is one of the reasons why other people and the government has been alerted of it. However I think we cannot control the sudden rise of bitcoin so as users we just need to hope for a better value for the coming days.

Every crypto currency that rises very fast or drops gives both positive and negative vibes. Can't help with that it's a human tendency and nowadays am not scared to see such fluctuations in the market as they are natural in such market where such volalatality is huge.

This might be correct now as prices have reached high level. Now it is not possible to expect very fast growth.

Indeed, at a time when the BTC price increase last December was beyond many people's expectations and beyond what should, too high,
But now Bitcoin will be back there and will rise slowly, but it will probably slow down unlike in December.

The sudden and fast inflation is th main problem, when people see the fast rise in prices they become more greedy while others fear such inflation because it harms their business.
A more stable price will create more trust and will motivate more users to join the community because they know their investment will be safe.

Bitcoin price can rise because of the demand specially when people are not selling their bitcoin. I think the recent rise of bitcoin are the positive news that spread by the last quarter of 2017 which many people are expecting a big profit because of it being a trend. Since then, because of being so famous, governments of every countries take action to control it that's why people are carefully thinking if in the future that bitcoin will be worth it to invest.

Bitcoin is a wonderful thing, but I still do not understand why it costs 10 or 20 thousand dollars. Speculators benefit that it is expensive, but ordinary people who are important technology itself should in fact be still at a price, if only the commissions were small and the costs of the miners paid off.

If there was slow rise in Bitcoins, it would not have been this much popular for sure. Who would then talk about it ?
