If you find a promosing ICO, I would suggest you to invest in that because in ICO you can get early returns. If you want to invest in btc you must invest for a longer time. Choice is yours. I would prefer to buy BTC and invedt a portion in ICO as well.

Investing in Bitcoin is just making a contribution for a while (most likely not a short time). Investing in ICO in my opinion is more profitable, since to have a good profit from Bitcoin, you need to invest a lot of money. In ICO, the profit will be greater, but the risks are greater.

I would split my investment, 50% in BTC and 50% in new ICOs. They have higher risk, but higher return.
Before investing, check the project as well as the team, read the whitepaper, analyze the market cap, etc.

Planning to invest is a good idea, buh note that to go in to business, one need to take a risk, bitcoin is ever sure and is still remain the best of the ICO.

It depends on your risk appetite. Bitcoin is already establish coin but the volatility is still there. While ICOs is still speculation and some of them does not have a working product. Better research first before buying any cryptocurrency

I think a speculation is always accompanied by judgment and knowledge. there are many ways to find and profit in bitcoin and altcoin or ico. my advice, involve knowledge and experience

just a regular purchase will be better than ICO deal since you have control over the price you want to pay and the amount. usually developers that going the ICO way overpricing their coin and stopping development after successful funding. sad trend

If you want to lesser risk, you can buy btc instead of investing in ICOs. Some ICOs tend to be unsuccessful. If you want to buy btc, all you have to do is wait for it to dump a bit before buying so that you will gain profit when it grows. You can still invest in ICOs if you think that you can choose a promising one.

I think you should buy first bitcoin for more and I think there are no better ICO because sometimes they are scam and it is hard to find a ICO that is better to invest like other but if you have a good campaign manager you can invest to it.

I posted this thread because I  have money right now and was thinking to like invest!
I wanted to know is it is beneficial to invest in new ICO, or should I just buy some BTC and wait for the value to increase.
In my opinion, if you can't make your own judgment, then divide the money into two parts, some investment in ICO project, some investment BTC, also is a very good method.

both is good but if you invest on ICO like you invest on someone idea and We do not know whether their project will success or not. so I think is better to buy bitcoin or good altcoins and hold for longterm.

I suggest to buying bitcoin only or after he bought bitcoin, he can use his bitcoin to buy some altcoin and don't invest in ico because it is too risky. the risk is not the same if he buys bitcoin only or buys bitcoin and altcoin at the same time. the ico needs to proof their work in a short time before they can get people trust. but if he really wants to invest in a new ico, then maybe he can invest in small money and while he does this, he can search more information about the ico.

Consider the third option, buying altcoins. Safer than ICOs, more profitable than BTC (considering last 3 months)
There is no time to determine if it will give profit, that is always depending on the development of the project
and on how hard working the team is, investors are wise, if they see a project has a great team and has a great potential, they will buy so we an make profit.

If you find a good ICO that will benefit you a lot then go with investing in that ICO. Thrrr are a lot of successful ICO's out there, it's just gotta be hard to find. I would also recommend bitcoin because bitcoin's price is slowly decreasing as of now and it would be a good chance to go buy now. It depends on where you are comfortable doing with, choose wisely.

I will rather buy bitcoin than to invest in a new ICO. With a new ICO there is no certainty that the new coin will do well and get me a good return on my investment  but with bitcoin the future is better. Bitcoin is predicted to reach $40,000 in 2020.I do not think there is any coin created that will give you that anticipated profit even if you buy bitcoin at $20 000.

You can do both of this two things, spend half of your money in Bit and eth, and spend the rest half in a promising ico, ico may bring you more mony, btc and eth will prevent some risks.

Some of ICO's are scam and some are not, ico's can give you some good profit if the project is good, holding some of its coins can get much profit while bitcoin as simple as this bitcoin is a irreplaceable should invest some of it while the price is low
