The current market situation is extremely worse and investment selection is not less than a challenge however there are some strong Altcoins which you can trust upon and invest now.
1.ETH is very strong Altcoin and after Sep-18 with the technical completion ETH value would reach to moon,invest now and hold it.

This is a sensible approach. And it is even more reasonable to conduct research before investing.
Start research is worth it with projects that are platforms: ETH, EOS, ADA, QTUM, ICX, ZIL etc.
It is still good to invest because as of now market is in correction and sooner will have a bull run so it is better to buy now while the coins are cheaper but always do your on research on the platform and the team behind the it, I highly recommend you to buy DENT because the have a working product.

It will be so difficult to choose because FUD can't be minimized. As far as i know you can try to invest only in those are giving reliable update to the investors. I guess this is not the right time and you should wait for another bearish trend again. The market has been jumping back and it may give you the more risk because you are not buyin at the dip.
