Before investing in a new project you have good knowledge about the market if you don't have the right idea you will be at risk. The crypto market is usually not static so it is very difficult to tell which coin is a scam I think before investing in new projects, analyze the market yourself from the experience of others.
New projects is risky to invest, look at what happen to some new projects that become rug pull during bear market and imagine if you invested on it big losses of capital or maybe asset if you invest on some new project, there are new projects that good for short term investment but it is really hard to find them in the bear season i think the best strategy is investing on real lefit project that already proven example is the coins that rank on top 1 to 20 on CMC.
It depends on the project if the project has a future then you should invest otherwise you should get away from new projects. you know when I was new in crypto I listen to a telegram group luna land is a very good project it will give you a good project. but when I invest the project did scam with us that's why you should research then invest.
Most times the early birds are always the winner, it's like joining IDO and IEO then sell off once trading starts, this idea is always the best way to make money, but another effective one is buying coins when they are 90% down, this is how good bear markets are.

According to this analysis, there is a project called secretworld.network on BSC that is a gaming project with mostly live features, and I believe that due to the project's nature, there is a chance to make a good profit, so I'm considering participating in their presale that will be on 12th of March, but I'm afraid of losing money. So my advice, don't buy altcoins that don't have good potential so that they can harm us. and if the new project that you have listed in this thread namely https://secretworld.network/ has the potential to develop in the future then please invest in it. so look for more information about the project.

investing in crypto has a very big risk and all the risks that only you can control.so here i will give you a little advice. if you are hesitating to invest in an altcoin project, you better not proceed. because investing with doubt will make you unable to control the risks that will come later.
if you ask anyone else on this forum before investing in the project that's a good thing. but for me all the suggestions here are just to consider your thoughts to step in the project.
what you have to remember is that all the risks are only you who will bear it

and another suggestion from me, if you are afraid of losing your money invest in a new project you are better off investing in an old project that has been around for a long time and has many communities that aim to build that project. 
For my experienced, I saw many new project failed their goals.Another, Many new project were scammed. Many fake bounties manager did scam the new bounties project. So ig have interested to invest in new project then you need to recherch about project then you can invest in new project. But i suggested to you can invest in old and good project.
If you are more into benefits and you are a conservative type of investor, better to buy old and working projects,
but if you can handle risk and you are not afraid to explore, there are still new project that you can check
and try to spare a portion of your investment..
It's not an assurance that even you do your research hard you can end up with good profits using new projects
for your investment, it's just a matter of understanding the market and try to take your opportunities.

New projects do have greater potential. can get 2x 3x even 10x profit in a short time. but most of them always don't last long. they just rely on the hype. after the hype ends then the price usually drops very drastically. even rug full.
but there are also good new projects. examples of successful new projects are like Axie infinity.
