Hi, all. I have 20 Litecoin and some Ethereum … around 5.7 Ethereum. Bitcoin price seems to be rising, and fast. My question is should I sell my Ethereum and Litecoin now and buy Bitcoin? I checked the price of Bitcoin today. It went down quite a bit. Do you think there is going to be a healthy correction before the price rises again? I feel like I should wait for a couple more days and view the trend. The problem with that is Litecoin seems to be gradually falling. The same is happening with Ethereum. What do you all think?

This is probably the reply you're not looking for, but no one exactly knows what will happen to the prices of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.  Undecided

My suggestion would be to create your own plan, and stick with it. Is there a reason why you're invested on litecoin and ethereum but none on bitcoin? Is it because you believe in litecoin and ethereum but not in bitcoin? If so, then leave it be! Prices don't go up overnight. If you also believe in bitcoin, then maybe diversify your investments into maybe 33% each cryptocurrency?

If you're planning on selling just because you have a fear of missing out in bitcoin, you will most likely lose more money this way. Create a plan, and stick with it.

I suggest to sell your litecoin and half of your ethereum, because in litecoin the posibility increase their price was small. In ethereum their amount seems increasing but not yet much higher. But in bitcoin the probability to earn income was so huge.

Indeed, altcoin price movements are declining, but I think first consider before making a sale to Ethereal and Litecoin that you have because we all know about the price fluctuation coins in the crypto market that are always fluctuating and sometimes difficult to predict well.and I suggest you to be patient Wait until the two altcoin prices start to increase

Now btc price is high and alt coin price is some down. i think after a time btc price is down. so i tell now you don't buy btc. ltc  and eth is good coin it's price regularly increase any time you exchange eth to btc. when this coin price is high you can exchange with btc.

It is not advisable to sell any altcoins while the price of bitcoin is busy going up. And recently, it all red days for all altcoins. Unless you bought your eth and ltc at a very low price and you are still in profit even though the price is down, you won't sell your coins. Hold it til the price of bitcoin  settles and alts are on green again.

I also made the bad decision to buy some lite and eth a few weeks ago, but fortunately the amount I bought was very insignificant and therefore I do not feel any psychological pressure to sell now.

In your case, I think you do have an important amount of money stuck in those coins and maybe it would be worth selling a fraction of them to buy bitcoin, although it would not be a bad idea to keep some of those coins as a portfolio investment.

This was a hard question i have struggled to deal with myself.

But after some thinking, I sold my LTC and kept my ETH. I did so because LTC was mostly known for activating segwit and now that BTC has segwit, what advantage do they have? Not much. When people realize this i feel like its scary times ahead for LTC.

Much better to sell those altcoin and stay trading in bitcoin for me its enough to make a good profit if you know how to buy low and sell high staying in bitcoin can gives you high amount of profit compare staying in altcoin.. This is just base in my experience altcoin is not the same as before that there are people are really making lots of profit because of the fast price increase like in ethereum but today and yearly bitcoin is always giving you a chance to make profit the price is really changing every year and ever month..
So if you really want to get the benefits of the movement price of bitcoin better to sell them and buy bitcoin instead ..

Since price is unpredictable plus the fact those coins involved in your portfolio can be seen a good price increase in the future, I suggest to hold it instead. Now to take advantage of bitcoin price rise, do you have any spare funds? You can used that to buy bitcoin or earned it without buying.

As long as bitcoin price is rising, don't worry about the price fall of ETH and LTC as you will still have a good returns on BTC in terms of USD value once you exchanged it. ETh and LTC have a solid barrier and it's kind of having low chance to really reached the low price that we aren't expecting.

But still you will have the final decision. Up to you what should have be done.

I suggest you sell all coins and buy bitcoin, because eth and litecoin price are not good. If we see eth and litecoin price action history with long time period is too difficult to rise again, need more time and news speculation. That's why bitcoin become the best alternative to make profit. Your money your call and have a nice day.
You're on right track by actually sticking to coins that make the top ten, most capitalized coins, as that's where to get some clues about the liquidity of a coin. So Hodling your coins isn't a bad idea on its own. However to think a little a bit outside the box, Litecoin is done activating segwit and even though Bitcoin is fast towing same line of action, the shadow of a split still looms in the background as no consensus yet on the blocksize debate. Suffice to say that offloading all for Bitcoin that's presently making new ATH, sure isn't the most appropriate time for buying and Hodling Bitcoin.

If i were you i would probably sell all Litecoins asap and buy bitcoins for this amount. With Etherium it is different, it's price falls at the moment but i am sure that it will rise again later. Etherium have huge potential to become something great so it would be silly to sell it now.

Bitcoin price is high again at the moment so maybe you should wait for better price to buy them.

I was with same doubt, because I had 10 LTCs. I chose to hold half and sell another half to buy BTC.  I dont have any clue about what will happen with bitcoin price in the next weeks.

I'm not bullish on either of these alts, but with a little luck and patience both will probably recover. With LTC I wouldn't hold my breath for astronomic gains, ETH is another story, however I also think it's overvalued right now (ICOs even moreso).

Keep in mind that while most alts made a great comeback from a fiat perspective, most of them still got outperformed by BTC in the long run. But I see that you are already in the right state of mind by thinking in selling for BTC and not fiat.

If you want to play it safe just hold some and keep some.

Bitcoin is actually going up now and  I think if you have risk capital you should wait until the price go up.  Ehtheruem and litecoin on the others hand is not doing to bad and you should not just convert your ethereum to bitcoin if you have long term investment view. I am not a fan of ethereum but I think it's will give you good return more than bitcoin. Bitcoin will find it difficult to go as high as $8000 that is double in price but ethereum will easily double in price.

I would keep them both - LTC and ETH.

Currently both are in 10days low and BTC is all time high.
I'm not so strong believer in LTC, but ETH will rise for sure. At least to 330-360 in next month.
Just wait until altcoins regain value to BTC.

This is not the best time to sell dump coins like LTC and ETH, Just wait until Altcoin price back to normal then start sell it to bitcoin if you want it, Because if you just wait, At the end, Price of bitcoin is still the same if you sell now or wait for your coin to pump. You will just loss the amount you used on buying ETH or LTC. Patience is a virtue in altcoin trading. You will just regret once you sell now then price of you alts bounce back again.

Yesterday while I was scrolling trough the news in Facebook I noticed one post, apparently one guy who is one of the best traders said that price of bitcoin can reach 15000 dollars this year!!! Many bitcoin experts appear from nowhere and with very brave statements, if anyone trys a bit this news is easy to found and can be checked. Honestly I don't know what to think about this prediction, I can't say it's possible I can't say its impossible, with bitcoin anything can happen.
If you believe this guy you should sell ETH and ltc snbuy bitcoins, if not keep your alts and maybe you will have more luck and profit, choice is on you for your money. Each one of us needs to decide what is the best thing to do right now, I will keep my bitcoin and I will try to make more.
