i'm thinking of starting my own bitcoin forum,  this one seems outdated and i want to make a better bitcoin forum than this one,

will everyone join my forum?    any advice?

theres not many bitcoin forums out there,

i also thought about starting a bitcoin blog, but i'm not much of a writer,

maybe a bitcoin site about news, but its like a blog and i don't enjoy writing,

so, a forum is the only thing i thought would be fun,

anyone support my idea?   give me ideas

Why don't you suggest your ideas to the team of experts that brought and run this forum so that they will look for a way to integrate your idea into it and makes it better for all of us rather than creating a different one? Maybe they might apportion you a quota in the shares so try and sort things out with them maybe you can reach a consensus.

You should try, what can you lose? In the worst case you'll get an experience setting up a bitcoin forum, so it's still gain.

Even if you start your own bitcoin forum I don't think that many users will entertain it as they are used to this forum as this the oldest one and here they are earning bitcoins from different places so if you can manage to give them earning opportunities then things can be different.

many where thinking about strating their own forum for bitcoin, but the truth is that even the messaging of bitcoin is centralized, because everyone post here in the end

maybe if you can add something that we can't find here, little niche things like a like button for example or an ignore that ignore even if you quote someone else that quoted that ignored user, etc...could at least attract some users from here

Technically, we cannot dictate you if you should create a new bitcoin forum. Most of the replies are just opinions. What if the one you created boomed and became successful or what if it is the other way around. All are just WHAT IFS. We cannot predict what might happen so your decision must be firm. Take note also of some factors before you start your own forum (if you will) such as:
1. What does the users' needs and wants?
    - Knowing what users' needs and wants will help you in creating a wonderful forum that may attract people.
2. Do you have the manpower in maintaining your forum?
    - Having enough manpower is crucial since the forum will run 24/7 and maintaining the quality and moderation is a must.
3. How will you advertise your forum?
    - Since it is a new forum, you need to advertise it so that you will have members.
4. Do you have the  time?
    - A forum that runs 24/7 needs administrators and moderators. If you will do that task then you must have all the time in doing so. You must invest
most of your time in administering or moderating the forum.

It is still your decision and whatever you decide, I wish you a good luck.

I think this forum is the greatest, it got a lot of traffic and it is the place to look for opinion and news, if you think your forum can make bitcoin become bigger and more people to used it then go and make another forum, if the user found out that your forum is useful then there will be a lot of member joining it

You want some cake like admins and mods around here? Cheesy Cheesy the only bad thing about theymoslover forum Cheesy is the saturated alternative boards with hundreds of pages stacked upon each other just to scam people in the long run, unfortunately they also attract almost half the traffic here, so we'll have to deal with it.
Censorship of what kind of information? because there  are 2 kinds:
1-misinformation fed to people by trolls/ ignorant ones.
2-incorrect/ one sided/ false/ FUD/ spam/ nonsense.

Unlike some people would love to see bitcoin network diversified aka BU/ SW/ 8MB/ etc, all should operate by running their own nodes like Core doing the following math which code base recognizes and majority only validates that math such as for example: 2.5*2.5=5 no matter if BU does it like this: 2+3=5 or something else like this: 4+1=5 or 1+1+1+1+1=5 yeah we all know that but it's not like the majority (longest chain) is going to accept anything other than than 2.5*2.5=5.

Above was just to show that we don't need many forums or bitcoin clients for that matter Cheesy

anyone can open a forum anything just like anyone can open their own business but the most important point is not anyone can be a millionaire in just 1night it needs lot of time and patients and a lot of knowledge. and in addition to that theymos is maintaining this forum and he has to may some money too (which he gets from the ad banners all around this site). everything is perfectly settled and most of the people love this old theam so i don't this we are ever gonna need any of its replacement. by the way some users already tried to open new forums and i don't think they where successful!

It's a bad idea op. I don't agree with you on this Idea. Firstly you should know Satoshi was here on this very forum. Secondly this is the most trusted forum and most of the legendary members can be trusted out here. A forum is not all about posts, it's the users, and I will tell you why it's a bad idea. Say you build a forum say bitcoinnew for example, you will have to pay a decent amount to get all features of this forum plus all new you would want to add. You will have to spend heavy on marketing to get users, but how will your users deal? No trusted escrow, all scammers and boom in a while it will end. To stop that you will give pay per post and end up in curing heavy expenses. What I would suggest is why don't you donate to this forum here instead.

It's a nice idea-it could be a blog or just a site where your post crypto news-if you are really that into BTC and always follow the latest news then I would suggest to go for it-you really have nothing to lose.Try to make something creative,or at least something which would be useful and informative

Creating a forum is easy, you can create a forum better than this one, with better features, better options, more user friendly etc. But what makes a forum successful are its members and their activity. This forum has thousands of active members on daily basis, and they weren't here overnight, the forum's age plays a very important role too, plus the activity of course. So to create a new forum will be no big deal, any 10 year old nowadays can do it, but how are you planning to make it successful? What will you offer that will make people join your forum? And more importantly, stay on your forum and post there instead of posting on this one and earning a few bucks every day and also be part of an active, knowledgeable and engaging community?

This is the place you could find most trusted people to utilize your bitcoins. Even reddit also deals with the bitcoin related thread but still bitcointalk forum is on the top always. If you have planned to invest on bitcoin, I suggest you to try trading or if you looking for deep web development related investment, just start an E-commerce site with btc and other altcoins as a payment mode. This will make revolution in e-commerce business. I am sure we may replace paypal via this idea.

I think its not great idea to start your own forum , there are not many forums but "there are forums" as I saw the only forum succeeded is bitcointalk.org forum other forums are like air come and go,but of you still want to start then you have to build one team .
Blog writing ,if you don't like to write then you can hire newbie they will take small amount for writing .blog is profitable and valuable than forum (not every time)

The only thing that you will lose if you dont try your idea is your chance to be part of the booming Bitcoin industry. Regardless if you fail or succeed whats important is you shared you have in mind. Taking the first step is the hardest in every aspect. If your Bitcoin forum project failed its fine, no one will ridicule you as long as you didn't do harm to anyone.

I think if you create a new bitcoin forum that will not bloom because this forum has lots of bitcoin users and members of it the forum life is depends on the members of it so I think if you will create it will not bloom because this forum is so active and many opportunities. You can try but I think that will not work.

The more forums bitcoin has the more better it is to bitcoin and the community. If there are multiple forums then we can spread the news about bitcoins much faster . But if you want your forum to have a good standing then you must also have a signature campaign in your forum which has better pay out than this forum. But I guess you will have a hard time competing with this site since for me it is the best forum there is online.

You are not the first to have this idea, but can you deliver on your promise, there are alot of factors that makes BCT successful, Satoshi (Founder) is one of the reasons. Another thing is the userbase, there is no need of creating something people will not use.
