I have around 500 000 bets placed on FJ
It was a matter of time when this would happen ( placed a lot of bets on not Martingale, so it already happened a lot of times, just not with Martingale)

I got 16 losses in a row
Starting with bet 0.000001BTC
And last bet was 0.03BTC
Counting a 0.06BTC loss total

Now, my question is, should I try to win it back?

I have a total bank of around 1.6BTC on my disposal

Odds of me losing those 16 bets in a row were 0.00179%
Somewhere around 1 to 60 000

Now, if I place a 0.06BTC there's a 50.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.12BTC bet,  0.505*0.505= 25.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.24BTC bet, 0,255025*0,505= 12.88% chance
If I lose, I place a 0.48BTC bet, 0,128787625*0,505= 6.5% chance I'll lose

If I lose, I have a total loss of 0.48+0.24+0.12+0.06 (+0.03) = 0.9BTC (+0.03)

Is it worth it?
Should I cut my losses o.o

Odds of me losing 20 bets in a row should be 1 : 860 000
Which, with me having 500k bets, doesn't sound very good

You got into a series of losses and by some logic you should stop because it's easy to lose even more. But by some law of numbers after you lost 16 times in a row you probably should finally win in next few bets.I think the decision is just for you because money is just yours. If I was in your place I would stop for a while.Since you are in good campaign all you lost will be back to you anyway.I know it's not the same as getting a bet,but let's say it makes sense,at least for me.

If you still decide to bet good luck to you and to get back all the lost Smiley

First off, I think gambling is not a good way of earning coins. Gambling in general is not a good way, because when you lose, you would always want to win it back, and thus, you are obliged by your own self to play more, which would prompt you to probably lose some more. I think, like in the reply, if you have experienced a series of loses, you should walk away and regroup instead of jumping on the gun immediately, your judgement and your motive is different and you tend to be blinded by the fact that you are losing a lot already.

Back if you want but no need to think about win back your loss. If you're thinking about win back your loss, you could have trouble thinking quietly because of your lust for win back your loss. So come back but do not have to think like that, because it's useless if you're unlucky you will not be able to win back your loss.
It is too hard to win back the lose especially focusing on it is not good when you are playing gambling, gambling is which you are playing to have fun and aim to win but to push yourself in the OP post will make you only broke and much worse to lose more money in chasing it.
Yup!  No one should ever try to win back a loss via gambling. This is because it would be same as losing more for earning back a loss.

Gambling is not a complete surety of win and when you really lose big, the urgent need is to take control of your emotions and not to go for gambling again so soon without calming your nerves down .the best method is to quit gambling at once and try to recover your losses via some other method.

Why not what's wrong in that gambling is a luck based game if it's your day you can easily recover your loss and might even get a profit but you need to he sure that it's surely your day if you still lose then it's better to stop and try recovering your losses later
not its wrong its clearly showing that you are addicted you shouldnt gamble if you cant afford to lose that money if you lose you shouldnt grieve about it you should  just forget that money if you try to recover it you will get more loss

Chasing losses is not advised, big balls op if you did and succeeded, then you are in the less than one percent of people who tried and succeeded. The other 99% had to learn the hard way.

Just to update you guys, as I have stated in the thread previously I broke even with the sports bet, I also won on FJ

I have hit their jackpot yesterday Smiley

So, considering I lost on 1: 60 000 and 1 : 120 000 in a span of 10 minutes, I  also hit a 1 in a 10 million jackpot with a total of 600k bets, so I guess the tables have turned and the lack of fortune initially has been credited to me with interest Smiley

Awesome! Well done mate.

what game did you win the jackpot on if you don't mind me asking? Also, how much did you initially start with to build up to that 4.6BTC?

Keep up the good work!

Dice, it's the dice jackpot.

And I didn't win 4.6BTC
That's the total bankroll, since I was betting 0.00001BTC I got 20% of the bankroll, which is ~0.93BTC
As I said, I lost some 0.12BTC prior to it

Nice iluvbitcoins! Not all the time luck isn't with us and whenever we lose, win will come. I'm happy for your recovery and I guess that will make you feel the same too. What are you planning to do, you will keep on going and will pursue your luck or you will take out some of it and will save for real cash?

Nopp.
Never cash out da bitcoins BTCBTCBTC  Cheesy
Just hold.
But yeah, as I said, never Martingale again Smiley

@HHampuz
I see your replies honoring my win, I gotta say for all the people reading this
Don't do it  Cheesy
I was unlucky and lucky in the same time
The first time I won back my losses, could of gone a lot worse, I could of lost even the 0.2BTC I deposited to get even
I should of cut the losses at the first 0.03BTC instead of getting the win back

Jackpot is another thing, that's Martingale Smiley

If you keep chasing your loss then you will most likely loose more bitcoins. You can never beat the house edge it's happened with me so many times so I would advise you to take some rest and then play or just quit gambling if you are continuously loosing games and money.

As I've stated previously to other people posting in this thread.. read up on what has happened. He did try and win back his losses and it was a success. So please stop with this sig campaign spamming, thanks!

Honestly for anyone asking the same question just don't do it. Strike it off as a loss because your likely to rush to try and get it back and end up losing a lot more. I wish I learned this sooner in life.
When you once lost, never try to get it back. Things are better when you leave gambling, when you are an addict of this, you can’t make anything better in your life. Because whatever you want to make good, gambling will reverse it and at the end of day, you will be ending with a lot of losses rather profits. So be vigilant, make your decisions wisely. Never try to return back once lost.
If you havr a capability to bet high and read the flow of the game then maybe you can try to win it back, but if you try it often and failed multiple times then better quit, maybe gambling too hard is not for you. Find some activities that will worth your time and effort. The moment we try it sometimes thats the only time will know if it's worth it than just reading random stuffs here.

I agree, if you failed to win back your losses for several times, probably you need to quit or rest for some days.  Let go of all the losses and never chase them.  It might cause you more damage and a lot of stress.  You will never think and use your strategy normally because you are thinking of something else.  If you let go and have a fresh start again, you can see that your move and strategy will be a lot more better.

I don't think that's right because when you loss something, you can't control your emotions. First thing that comes on your mind is too win back what you loss. You can't focus on winning because you are focusing on your loss. Based on my own experience, everytime I did that, I will just lose all over again. I believed the best thing to do is to take a rest, calm down yourself and accept what you loss. Then you can start to fight again. New game. New start.
agree, that also happens to me. when the emotion has taken control, we know everything gonna be worse. we need calm a little bit, clear our mind, take a deep breath. Personally, when I got a loss, that's is the sign I need to stop and move on.
Yes, the best thing to do is to calm down so that you can relax your mind and can think again what should right to do to get back win your all losses from gambling. If you don't  set yourself to be calm down you will loss your focus and you will out of control and the result is got much worst from losing.

Right. Letting yourself be too affected with the current happenings exposes you to a lot of wrong decisions. There will be a lot of times when you can try and win back ypur losses so don't force yourself to do it while emotions are still high. It's always better to make decisions with a clear mind
This is probably the best way indeed when you actually face a loss in gambling. To try to recover your losses instantly is something that would not be fruitful at all. Initially you face some kind of mental stress and the most important thing at that time is to come yourself instead of planning out a scheme for winning back your losses.

Just give yourself some time and probably you will be lucky enough to some other time to regain what you have lost along with some profits as well.

Lol you have to be smart about what you do when you lose because that's when you're most likely to commit stupid mistakes. Hopefully these tips will be a good help to anyone who experiences big losses as they're right that the best thing to do would be to stay away for a.time to regain composure
Gambling is just a luck game it depends all on your luck. So when you lose and you see that your luck is not working then it's better to leave. If you will play at the same time then it may cause even more tension and problems for you. After losing money in gambling people become emotional where they are not able to carry the things in a way needed. This further leads to destruction. An immediate leave is a remedy to be safe.

The eager you are.the more chance of losing why not try to take a rest.for a week or month maybe.for you to realize what gambling brings to you.if it really helps you?or just bringing you down.theres no wrong in playing as long as your not losing more that you can earn

If you were to read up on this thread you'd see that he did go back to try and win back what he lost and he succeeded. Too many people are a bit negative here.. If you've lost some, GO FOR IT. Try and win it back. Can't hurt to try Cheesy.

In his second try he lost around 0.1 btc. But he made his mind to win back what he lost and luckily he won all back. That won't happen to everyone who looses his funds in gambling and win it back.

Well obviously it won't happen to everyone that gambles, because without losers there'd be no winners. But this guy made his money back and then some extra profits and people still come in to this thread and say "You should cut your losses and move on, not good to keep gambling when a losing streak".. When in fact they are just replying to the OP and not looking through the thread Tongue.

Well if everyone will listen to all of the statements here in the forum I think no one will end up broke but then again everything is up to the person in the end of the day. For gambling addicts it would be hard for them to follow their instinct not to gamble anymore because there is always the urge of playing all the time.
It is always a gamblers instinct to win back what we have lost in gambling, but i think it is not a good practice or idea to keep that mindset because it only give us misfortune of betting, there is a tendency that we will lost more our control and strategy to win the game. So be patience accept what you have lost and take it as you play for fun then set back and relax then tomorrow is another good day to play.

Yeah right, most of the people who never quits gambling because they wanted to win back their loses are the ones who are losing more. Setting some limitation would be good enough for you to know if you are going to continue or stop playing gambling for a day, because the possibility of losing when you are trying to keep up with the house is so high, so better watch out.
