That is dependent on a lot of things...
"Being High" does not specify the drug; for example being high on some drugs such as Amphetamines can and often does cause an increase in violent behavior (especially those with already violent tendencies) and as such would be dangerous.
On other other hand, depressants such as tranquilizers would have the inverse effects and make people very docile.

I sit on the fence on legalization of all drugs leaning towards pro Marijuana legalization but against many others.

Yes, it should be a right and an obligation for every citizen to get high every weekend. Cool Cool

Seriously?
Obligation would be as bad as it being illegal, or even worse.

being high isn't the issue, it's being in "possession" of the weed.

it's legal to be high on anything, in the comfort of your own home.  the crime is "possession".  dipshiat

Yes, of course it should be legal - it should be up to individuals to decide what they can/can't put into their own body. I also think people should be educated properly on the various risks of different drugs, and how to take them safely if they choose to do so. Plus, if drugs were legal and had quality control, less people would die from ODs/gang violence etc.

To all the people saying "It's OK as long as you're in a private place, not in public because you could hurt someone", well that's just stupid because other laws cover that stuff. It's already illegal to assault/rape/drink drive/drug drive etc. Obviously if someone was out of control while on drugs, and endangering others, then they should be arrested or whatever.

wtf are you guys serious? you want someone high to be doing whatever he wants outside while being high? aren't you afraid of accident, murderer, severe injuries and stuff, that people can do/cause when they are high ?? No it should be forbidden and be kept forbidden, in a controlled environment why not, (someone at home or any party when people around, or a pub for that why not) but making it legal opens the gate to that minority (of course there are people that know what they are doing but not everyone does) to do shit. while you are it, make drinking and driving a legal thing as well -.-

and that pool is such a troll many wow  Cool

So they should be put in a cage at the threat of lethal force to protect you while they're high ?  ooook buddy.

It should be legal worldwide, because violence is much worse than smoking some plants.
In addition, the police has better things to do like to solve real crimes like murder;

They will remember the current policy like the burning of witches in ancient times.

Being high itself should not be illegal.

Problem with drug is the abuser usually neglect his own personal responsibility to live a normal life and causing pain and grief to those who are close to him.

For someone with self control, I have no objection doing whatever you like so long as you are not stealing, robbing to get high.

I think it's okay as long as you don't affect anyone it should't be ilegal

You do effect others, you act like someone else while being high , you interact with other people, so your behaviour  changes, If you do It alone at home then It's not a problem i guess.

Is it just me or is the poll an epic fail for this thread.  The OP is pro being high but the poll is a no vote...   I thought it was kind of amusing.
