Thank you for all who have chimed in and offered their knowledge, I did not think 1 oz could be stretched to be 39mm with good result.

Gold is a tricky metal to work with, so low mintage is a must (I am thinking less than 25, even less than 20-15, as long as everyone who showed interest gets one), both for upfront costs and storage concerns.

Then comes shipping, always a bit of a risk even though I always ship insured, and most of these coins will travel a long way!

I have to go into detail here, calculate all costs involved (It's been a long time since my last gold coin), see how the design would fit... That together with some projects in the works, will cause the opening of a pre-sale to be delayed.

To those who registered interest, I will make sure to contact you as soon as we are ready to move forward!

Reserve 2 for me.. where do i send the doge??🤔🤔🤔🤔

Let's let CI do an official pre sale and see where we are.  My best advice to all that have sent me private emails is to post your interest here on this thread
Thank you

1 oz or 2 oz would be nice but pricey as it is gold and even pricier because CI coins are always more pricey than most other coins but they are great looking coins and maintain their value nicely.

Are you in for one?

Depends on what the end price is - if I can afford it, then yes.

I think we have enough that want the coin 1.5 oz. and 38-39 mm funded 1000 doge and limited to 25 like the rare silver dogecoin one of CI's early masterpieces mintage 25.   Cool Cool

Welcome to the SaltySpitoon, how Tough are ya?
Just a quick tip about the dimensions you're planning, Gold Eagles aren't .999 gold, they're 22 karat. If you try the same dimensions with pure gold, you'll get some odd mass.

I'm kind of confused, is this supposed to be a Doge coin ? The "dodgeball" title kind of threw me off and I wasn't really following the other thread about this. What's the USD price going to be on these? I assume spot + how much premium? Do we have to pre-load them and if so, has that amount been decided on (and is that in Dogecoin?) I see there's a dispute between 1oz, 1.5 and 2oz. Is it possible to do 1.420 oz ? Cheesy

I saw my coins mentioned. It’s worth noting that my 1oz gold binary rounds are the same diameter as my 2oz coins shown above. This is because I had them made with 1/2 the thickness so it would remain 39mm with 1/2 the weight. If you are going down to 1oz and still want the 39mm diameter, it’s possible. Ask your mint about it.

Yes I’m in. I’d love two but will take one minimally.

I think this is the right direction and would prefer more gold and load value to increase the exclusivity of this coin. In my mind, it may be out of reach for some but the goal here is not to create many of them. The CI 10k Doge are still out there and come up for sale at times, and are excellent candidates for those who can’t afford the higher point of entry here.

In order to keep the coins rare and a low mintage I think we have to keep this at a max of 25 or less .  This would allow for a few owners to have two of the coins.

So far there are 4 that would want one, if you posted in the previous thread please post again here.  Based on the previous thread and this thread there would need to be a mintage of approximately 20 to fill the requests so far.  The consensus is definitely the 1.5 oz. 38-39 mm.

Just a humble opinion, and going against the grain here, but I would prefer a .5 ounce. If we are talking about Gold, I think 1-1.5 oz of Gold + Premium + load would price these coins out of most of the blue collar collectors here. If the thought is producing a limited run of 10 that only a few people would have the opportunity to obtain with deeper pockets, 1-1.5 oz is probably the best bet. Whatever is decided, good luck with the project and excited to see the final product!

Hey spooky, your input is always appreciated, and yes this is going to be a limited coin or we would have gone silver.  I hope you stretch your pocket a little and get one since I think this will be right near the top of CI's greatest coins.

I think the cost starts to get prohibitive for most so I don't want to go up to 2 oz.  If it's 1.5 are you in for one?

Count on me as long as it's 1.5 ounces, since I believe that the more gold they will have more value in the future.

I think on a 1 oz gold coin it would be very small, I really think the best would be a 2 oz coin something like ognasty coins.

If enough members don't mind the increase in cost we can go with the 38-39 mm 1.5 oz gold.
