Holy shit - Not only AK is a gambling nut he is a fucking man when on the hunt.

I think the 160+ coins might have served as a fairly substantial motivation Wink

I love the litegox domain, wonder if it's for sale  Grin

I think people should look at the whole "but they're paying people back" way of thinking like this: if you're going to screw people over, this is a way to do it and also look like you actually did pay people back. Since most players are small timers and perhaps make up 80-90% of their player base but only account for what, 10-20% of what was actually invested into the site, you pay those people back while taking from the heavy hitters. Since 80-90% of the people were paid back and post they were, DB looks like the good guy while still being able to stiff the 10-20% that actually carried huge balances which made up most of the DB's balances.  It's simple, you let the majority get paid back while you keep the majority of the funds.  It's probably really easy to chart out something which shows how many small time users they have and how much they actually make up insofar as the entire DB bankroll, etc... I bet it's not much. Just my 2 cents

Yeah, sorry. I should have put that up there. In my haste, I left it out.

If DB is worried about Russian regulations, that has to mean that he or the servers or both are located in Russia, right? I think the previous theory was Ukraine, but as a sovereign nation, Russian regulations shouldn't apply to them.

Based on how much they lied to us they might be located in Madagascar for all we know and just using this as an excuse to disappear without resolving outstanding issues with AK and others.

Remember how arrogant they were claiming that nobody will be able to locate them, so now they are concerned about Russian authorities. Yeah right  Roll Eyes

Hello all! Due to the latest developments regarding bitcoin and altcoin regulations in Russia (check here), we decided that the risk factor for us is exponentially growing. Therefore we decided, effective immediately, to suspend betting and investing and put the site in a "feeze" mode, where only divestments / withdrawals are allowed. We will make transfers from cold wallet large enough so all withdrawals to be prosessed ASAP. Please if you know anyone that plays / played / invested as well, inform him about that so he can take his coins. We will also email any account that has remaining balance on site and if still until the end of the week he doesn't withdraw, we will trigger the withdraw to his emergency address. In the case he doesn't have an emergency address either and site is sold, user shall contact us via email to [email protected] with his username and proof of deposit. Both sites (dicebitco.in and diceliteco.in) are officialy under SALE now. For any offers, please send an email to [email protected]!
What the buyer will get:

The Domain, that will be transfered to his registrar of his choice (we suggest namecheap, since we have the domains there, tranfer will be instant)
Whole site code
Twitter / facebook accounts
Email addresses
Forum account
Skype support account
What the buyer will NOT get:

Support from us. The site comes as-is. We will not further develop it nor provide techical support. If you don't know how to code or you don't have anyone who you trust to code, dont bid on it.
Account passwords. All user passwords on site are encrypted, there is no way around that (so no need to bid with the hope you will be able to hack into other casino sites)
We are sorry to have it ended this way. Thank you all!

Edit: This is the message that appears on the top of the DB website.

Woow... I just hope people will get theirs money out.

What would be the benefit of concocting a ruse at this point? If he was looking for an excuse to take the site down and disappear, regulation would certainly be it. But why not just disappear then? If you weren't going to pay out, I would think there's little benefit in putting up a message about how you're going to pay out and the procedures you were going to follow to pay out, only to then not pay out.

In a weird sort of way, this is about as much credibility as Manl has ever had. Only he can screw it up at this point!

I think I'll wait for the emergency address withdrawal. Let's see if they return all my money, or if they claim that the site lost money with negative profits.

For what it's worth, and it's admittedly not much, I was able to withdraw with no problems. Of course, I hardly had anything in there, and also I've never had a problem withdrawing. But I was never btc rich enough to be a target either.

Oh mate, so much has happened since that ^^^ that it isn't even applicable anymore.

In short:

* someone found them skipping nonces again
* after he randomized, the skipped nonces appeared, as small winning bets, with the following losing bet made bigger so it would lose the extra amount won by the fake new small winning bet; in some cases it was made so that the bet won more than 0.5% of the bankroll
* he tried to withdraw, but the coins were sent to a different address than the one he asked for them

DB hasn't responded to any of this other than to say that the maximum profit was silently increased to 1% of the bankroll which is why the large bets were allowed, but that maximum profit is now down to 0.2% to reduce variance.

And changing max profit to 1% is a huge deal for investors and shouldn't be done silently.
But ofc its just one more excuse. So doesn't rly matter.

Aaaaaand that's what I meant by a lot of vigilante justice talk in these threads. For every 100 instances you see of stuff like this, there are 0 instances where anyone ever does anything about it.

Say you manage to get a name and an address. What are you gonna do, risk a felony assault charge over a fraction of a bitcoin? Why bother with hollow threats? It's not gonna make a scammer suddenly return the money he stole.

Justice will be served....over $100?
You'll lose more money driving to their house than making what you lost lol
Wowww. Calm down, you two. I think i was misinterpreted here...
I'm not going to personally "take revenge" for the 0.251 BTC. I was just pointing out that some people are quite angry at this scammer, and it might hurt his professional life outside of this online scam.
Your post came across as if you were threatening to get justice over your .25btc lol, thanks for clearing that up
