This an excellent piece of work, thank you.

With campaign manager yahoo62278 actively working on getting rid of the trash posters any kind of help pointing him in that direction would be appreciated I am sure.

His ban list can be seen here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-banned-participants-in-the-cryptotalk-campaign-5188200

✅ Need Campaign Manager? TG > @TalkStar675
Just report as many of the participants as you can (if they break any of the forum rules). It would be great to see a signature restriction of 6 months or so if anyone gets penalized due to signature spam.
Agree with you and it's right time to help our forum mods for taking proper actions. Personally i wanna give thanks to cryptotalk campaign manager yahoo62278 for creating the list of ban participants where lots of spammers, burst posters and inactive users profile has been revealed. Its a great opportunity for community members to get notified about these participants who usually run after all signature campaign and make the selection process harder for best active participant. Hopefully in upcoming days forum managers will be able to select best candidate for their campaigns.

Day by day forum is getting popular for its promotional system and worldwide crypto companies are getting interested to continue their promotional activities on bitcointalk. Undoubtedly its a good sign that community users value is getting higher than ever. To continue improvement on this section forum campaign managers should give priority to quality rather than quantity and that's why its urgent to find out these faces who are spoiling the quality of forum promotional system.

The number of posts being made be users of all status that show "CryptoTalk.Org" is quite high.

Some of the posts, several in fact are simply made just to add a post so it becomes another excuse to display the signature and avatar.

Does excessive exposure to a particular brand that comes from nowhere to being put in front of you (in almost every thread you frequent) put you off even thinking about visiting the promoted website?

For me it is off-putting and I would prefer to see some sort of mechanism where you can IGNORE the signature of a particular user without adding the user to your IGNORE list.

One option you have is to go to settings and turn off signatures for all members.
There is also option I use in uBlock extension,
and third option are scripts.

As for now, all you can do is to disable all signatures from your profile settings.
It’s for heroes account only. that was hiding Ads. Sorry!

I believe you can do this using userscripts.

I do not prefer a lot of brands/ads, so I use a lot of those userscripts that changed the view of the forum,  it banned most of the ads and a lot of accounts that post useless topics & ranking using Merits.
So far I don't know if there is a user script to do that but you can search or pay for a developer[1].

Yes, usercripts are the way to go, this one could likely be modified for OP's purposes: https://github.com/grue0/bitcointalk-scripts/raw/master/SignatureAdblock.user.js

Works very well here, no longer have to see the wall of text from sig campaigns, etc.

Look at this profile for user dRAIH: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/draih-962674

The last real post was on 6th December 2018 then there was nothing posted at all until 27th September 2019 just as when the cryptotalk.org signature campaign was starting

If this is not a perfect example of accounts being used to claim funds for posting virtual nonsense, what is?

I want to encourage everyone (again) to start and searching in local boards for users who don't respect the rules of this campaign. In my opinion the current boards must have extra attention : Turkey , Russia , Indonesian as there we can find most of the spammers. ( I check mine every day to see if there are any of spammers ). Also pay attention to users who are just quote someone and answer as that is the easiest way to make a quick post.

Even if the numbers of participants are high, I won't say they are high enough because you can simply search for a altcoin bounty campaign and you can see that almost any of them have more than 50+ participants so please consider this as a normal signature campaign.

Compared to those altcoins signature campaign, Yahoo is doing an awesome job and furthermore he has our help ( PM Yahoo and also check this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-banned-participants-in-the-cryptotalk-campaign-5188200 ) when it comes to bust those who break the rules besides 1 manager who mostly click on show posts, check the numbers and give the stakes to participants without even doing a proper search.

Nice to hear from you hugeblack Smiley

As stated in a previous post, it is done. I went to the profile setting: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile:

Then I clicked "Look and Layout Preferences" and checked the box "Don't show users' signatures"

It saves me watching the signatures and maybe after a week or so I will un-check the box and start seeing what users are promoting.

The effect it has is it disables all signatures but it is a minor issue inconvenience. It also allows for avatars to be disabled too but I see no reason to do that just yet even on a temporary basis.

(edit)

Look the posts made by those showing cryptotalk.org signatures/avatars in the Pundi X thread. The posts are total nonsense: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2212228.5560

Maybe someone can create a user script that hides signatures for specific brand names (maybe TryNinja can help with this).

Patience people, I am going  to start issuing the ban hammer shortly.
If participants are getting paid every 3-4 hours then how efficient the ban hammer is going to be!

You make a good point, I wonder how effective the ban will be if users allegedly get paid every few hours several times a day.

I went to the profile setting: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile:

Then I clicked "Look and Layout Preferences" and checked the box "Don't show users' signatures"

After this cryptotalk trash is over I will uncheck the box to views signatures again.

I saw some flagged accounts were wearing cryptotalk signature like jamalaezaz Flagged account shouldn't able to join signature campaigns

I'm guessing that there is a good chance that some of those accounts were owned by huge account farmers and i saw the seclog the amount of inactive accounts waking from the long sleep is increasing. Oh well as hilarious said this would a good opportunity (trap) to hunt and expose account farmers since all of the accounts joined in this campaign were being monitored yahoo and other DTs (i kind feel bad for yahoo to monitor this kind of campaign)

I just checked up to see what was shown on the signature of jamalaezaz and it also promotes "cryptotalk.org" (with a link to the cryptotalk forum promising to pay 0.00001 btc on their forum: (https://cryptotalk.org/topic/21-get-paid-for-every-post/) and I wonder much they have been promised to get paid per post in this forum.

You also are showing the cryptotalk.org signature

Several accounts are posting nonsense that just does not make sense at all, it is clearly posting for the sake of posting just to increase their post count to promote "cryptotalk.org"
Luckily (for me), that post by taibas was in the altcoin section which I have on ignore--and that entire section has always been a cesspool of the worst posts on the forum, worse than Bitcoin Discussion and Economics combined.  Unfortunately I think Altcoin Discussion has some value, and if it's getting spammed to death that's not good.

Fortunately, Yahoo62278 is an excellent campaign manager, and I'm glad to hear this:
Patience people, I am going  to start issuing the ban hammer shortly.

I've no doubt that he'll clean house if members are writing posts that obviously don't contribute anything, like taibas's.  That one was particularly bad, almost like "Hey, I'm here and I've got nothing to say!!".  I'd imagine sometimes a manager doesn't know what a participant is going to do until they actually start the campaign.  Hopefully whatever batch of new applicants he gets after the purge will be better.

Different between you and taibas-
He is one liner spammer, you are cryptohunter style spammer. Both of you and taibas add zero value to the discussion.

@yahoo
It's not good to allow yobit to promote here since they are shady exchange. Remember what the community said when it was Livecoin and CM was Hhampuz, he had to leave managing that campaign, I was also opposing managing that campaign.
Then why Yobit is getting place? Again double standard from our concerned DT people who care the forum most, who can't sleep to protect the forum member.

Now already we have 160+ participants in this campaign. it's already a lot of work to put them all on ignore list or his signature only. Currently is a real invasion of "cryptotalk" posters. wake up some old and forgotten threads with useless comment.
There is yahoo62278 campaign manager. he accepted a very demanding job, but I'm sure it will make a lot of cleanups here.

It is getting ridiculous, their signature is in almost every thread and most of the posts are just random nonsense that has nothing to do with the thread. Just look at this one from "taibas" in the Minexcoin thread:

Now a channel came into their telegrams. The community is vibrant, official support answers questions. No concrete plans, but something like going on.
I don’t even know what to say, but on the road map that I saw - nothing interesting.
