Isn't the only illegal marketplace accepting BTC. Black Market Reloaded, HackBB and I've come across a few store front style sites selling drugs, credit card details and even contract killings.

Boar with me
Haha I dont know why I find it ironic that there is a Silk Road thread here, it being illegal substances and all but I guess since it takes bit coins thats how it works. I read into it and it seems like an interesting venture. Anyone who made a site similar to SR that could generate similar traffic would make so much money

SR is not about illegal stuff. Yes, it's used extensively for drugs, but there are a lot of legit sales on it too.

Glad to see it's back up and running. It seemed to be working yesterday but it kept logging me out and the captcha part of the login screen wasn't working properly but was able to login and finalize and order I'd received prior to it going offline. They're also limiting new registrations so the problem doesn't reoccur.

Was that why it was down, too many new registrations? How is it being limited?

Well, the bitcoin I withdrawn yesterday It's here now. Also, I see the login screen. Trying to log in now. (The window appears, but I don't seem to be able to log.. anyway, this is Torland, and It just came to live. So I suppose that this is enought good news  Grin )
So, mainly we have silkroad online again.  Cheesy

I can also confirm this, i'm logged in as of now. Things seem to back to normal; hopefully.
Well. I can't buy yet. It say to me the same as yesterday. Log out and log in. I do it, and I can't buy anyway.  Undecided
I will try tomorrow morning.. Hope that It works.  Grin

I've not tested buying anything yet as my personal vendors don't have any active listings, but nothing seems to be different or buggy for me. I am free to explore the site and pretty fast speeds if i'm honest. But yeah, we'll see how it turns out.
I just tested with another product and It worked. So, all It's OK.

This is one way the feds can step up the fight without anyone really noticing. I wonder if it is related to losing WA and CO...

You'd think 22 million would at least buy a half decent site or at least have a more motivated staff!  Angry

There is also the trust issue.  One just can't hire anyone to work on a cladestine website, now can one?  I didn't think that a DDOS attack was possible against a hidden service, or is all of Tor under assault?

Possibly a mixture of both...

There is a brief rise in the 50kb transfer measure but nothing out of the ordinary. I can't tell.

Yes, I think/hope the same. Anyway, I don't know why DPR doesn't make at least a short and brief communicate about what is happening.

I think you're right.. It's really down... Worse than before...
I just got the forum to load.. So We can assume that is some scalability/resources/technical.. dificulties.
There are plenty of topics about it, as I can see.
