I always have this kind of mistake before way back when I’m still inexperienced gambler. A simple mistake such as not placing a bet on a round that result to massive win just because my screen glitch makes me tilted that resulted to lose focus and bust all my bankroll quickly due to risky bets.

There’s some instances that I’m already winning big on blackjack then one of my bet is a pair of 10 which I accidentally double down instead of stand while I place huge bet triggers me a lot that result to terrible loss.

I’m sure many players here experience this kind of minor mistakes that resulted to terrible outcome. Share your story and let’s have fun hearing it. I hope there’s no BS story…

        -   I feel what you are saying. There are also times when I experience a feeling like that when I know if I have won the game, and then suddenly I will feel my instinct that I think should be followed, so instead of stopping, I will continue temporarily thinking that my winnings will increase.

But at the end of the day, my winnings decreased even more, so after that, I really stopped because, if not, I might lose in the end or even lose my fund in addition to my winning price.

I know how you feel, it really is frustrating when you're one step closer to winning but suddenly you made a minor mistake or tapped the wrong button or because of the glitch. Sometime when I'm playing I tend to think too long, thinking on which I should place my bet and few seconds, the game is already played and I was not able to tap my desired bet and not was not able to get my possible winning if only I have placed that bet. Sometime we need to stay focused and double check before clicking or making any moves. Sometimes it can be a small mistake but It can also have disastrous consequences.

My personal experience is a bad experience when playing blackjack. that's because I always double my bet when I lose.

Indeed, at some point the doubling can restore the condition of my money. However, when I returned, I continued playing in that way and ended up losing in a row which resulted in my money running out before coming back again.
It was a bad experience that I will always remember and use as a valuable lesson. that not always doubling the bet can restore the situation.
Doubling your bet after a loss is the famous, or should I say infamous, martingale strategy, the martingale strategy is often sold by scammers as a strategy that can allow a person to become profitable when they gamble, since it is true that with it you can win up to 99% of the time, but what those scammers do not tell you is that once you hit that 1%, not only you will lose your bet, but it is almost guaranteed that you will lose all the money you had at that casino.
This strategy is very difficult to control. If we can't control it, our money won't come back, it will run out completely. and most players also can't get rid of their desire to at least win even a little. they think more about winning a lot. so when that happens, their money runs out quickly.

Well, I can relate; we sometimes or often fear losing (depends on your case as a gambler, some are just fine as long as it is under their risk appetite). Fear results to hesitation which makes us change our mind with our bets. Regrets will only take place whenever the unwanted happens and that is a normal thing however, if it is the wanted outcome then you'll have a different response. I don't engage with card games and other casino games. Even in sports betting, this is evident and in my case is with matches I did not bet but had my 'pick assumption' on who or which team would win, and eventually turning out to be a winning bet. What I do is to just accept things. It is just only the idea that winning is just hard to achieve in our gambling careers which makes us frustrated of such instances. It is not also losing everything, but just losing the opportunity to win.

This makes me remember that there are people who when they dream of a number and it falls into the lottery and they don't play it, this is something very common that sometimes cannot be done, so if one takes it to the level of reality it is Another thing, what I have had are errors in the dice, sometimes playing very late at night and lying down, I have fallen asleep and slept, my fingers move on their own and in one of those I bet half of my balance, luckily in that At the moment I didn't win, but things have happened to me that are inexplicable, but I didn't play the trading game, which I made a 1-minute operation and instead of placing 4000COP, I placed 40,000COP and I lost that, although it is not a game that I took it as if it were a game, and from that loss I have not been able to recover today.

In the game things have turned out differently , because it happened to me playing sots, I always make the minimum bet and then increase it with the option of a bonus, at that time to play fast instead of pressing the button to put it higher and with the option to bonus or free spins, what I did was double it twice and those two times I trusted my balance for the slot, then I was bored, from that experience I conclude that one should be more patient when playing, not do it so fast and above all not to play so quickly and uncontrollably thinking that you know everything, you feel very bad for losing money through such a stupid way.

I have had enough stories to tell about betting and other risky activities, but one thing that always comes to my mind is to let it go. By not letting it go, I could resort to taking unreasonable risks due to emotion. This is not worth it even as trading has trained me to be more managerial and also be strictly disciplined. I already have many stories, and I've had gadget issues, internet issues, inability to move the money to my platform when I needed it due to issues with the money app, self and people's distractions and many more.

If one starts mentioning them, such may mention over 100 glitches, but to what use? Let's just pray that they don't repeat even as we are more prepared and proactive with our betting. The lack of that was the reason why you actually took a heavy risk due to the former misses, so it works that way, we should just forget the past and move forward in my opinion.

When I used to trust someone from talking well and earning huge in using the said gambling game. I've somewhat got caught in my greediness making all of my earnings wash out in just a few days of addiction. I realized but it was too late already just after losing my life savings. It is simply and quite happens to most of us. Greediness could really end up in a terrible situation where you can't forget about it.

That is why I changed my mindset towards gambling and must not taken seriously when we think about earning huge. Not impossible but less possible. If we are gambling, we must ensure that we can stop in the time we want and of course, don't trust people who say fancy things, they are liars.

I've seen it all: ups and downs, missed opportunities, and costly mistakes. Feels like a rollercoaster, right? You control the world, but a glitch or misclick ends the game.

How you recover matters more than the mistake. I've made snap decisions, thinking I have the Midas touch, only to find one bad move may ruin you. Its tough but a great instructor. The key? Do not let failure define you. You blew it by doubling down on 10s while you were ahead? Understandable, but dont linger on it.

Those who learn from their mistakes succeed in life and gambling. You must think like a champion. You were hit, so what? Refresh yourself. Not making a terrible bet, but leaving the game, is the biggest mistake. Be positive, concentrated, and realize that every gambler has a day.

I think a lot of gamblers underestimate the importance of emotional stability and strength when it comes to gambling. You might have a good system when the going is going good but it's very easy for those systems to fall apart when you experience a loss because more often than not, you'd be ready to take more risks just so you can cover up for the loss(es) as fast as possible.

Two weeks ago, I had a loss after my longest winning streak ever and then I got a loss. I placed more bets irrational and it resulted in much bigger loss.

The key for me is not allowing smaller losses to cascade into bigger losses rather than taking a simple break to resume at a much later time when I'm not driven primarily by the losses incurred.
Most people are not very good at this, after a severe loss our experience tell us that recovering that money will take us a long time, and instead of accepting that outcome, most people prefer to take their chances and see if they can recover that money as quickly as possible, some may get lucky and those feelings will immediately disappear, but more often than not, things will not go according to our wishes, aggravating the problem and making almost impossible to recover the money lost.

Encountering a mood swing towards wagering higher amount, may affect the gambler's bank roll. But misplacing your money in a place, is enough to rotate you around looking for it, till it's found. Gamblers, some, feel similar as a person who lost their money, and wants to find it. The difference, is, the gambler doesn't mind if he spends more money in expense for the lost money. Thereby losing more resources and time, trying to get back the money. Time spent in search of the money, can as well be redirected to seeing the problem, as though can't be solved using an uncertain method. Wagering high amount to earn back the money, isn't the right choice. It only accumulates the losses, and the gambler wouldn't run out of lost money. He gets, some and lose it again. However, the player, who boycotts the chasing of loss strategy, will harness a better experience, and time, while in his gambling journey. Staying calm, and recalculating our moves, doesn't go void, rather it helps in boosting the duration and emotional stability of the player. Handing him out some confidence that all is good, with his method. Balancing the level of responsibility, a gambler should possess.

There was a time I played sports betting and had the bet spoilt by over0.5 goal with an odd of 1.05 even when my mind was telling me to remove that particular event from my slip. I think that mistake is normal and what makes gambling what it is.
I still remember the time I selected like 8 matches that gave over 10 odds. All were over 1.5 and over 0.5 goals. I won 7 matches already that day and it remains one which was over 0.5 goals. I thought I would win but the match ended with no goal. But if it is about mistakes I can not call my losses in gambling as mistakes. Gambling is a game of chances.
The thing we should know is that gambling is a game of chance and luck and doesn't depend on individual skills, most especially when you are into sports betting you will notice that even your most sure team with good past analysis and records can still be the team to make you lose your bet, and that is why we advice that we shouldn't put much hopes on team or bets and we should rely much more on luck.

But then, if profits are your aim for staking a bet, then there are several mistakes one can make that will end you in loss and your regret about it, just like in my experience last week, I had a huge cash out available already but I was slow to take it because the match was going in my favour, and within a second, the match turns against me and I lost everything,  so that was a big mistake for me and I regrets not taking the action when I had the chance to cash out.

I agree 100%. Like I said, when I got my loss, I was eager to recoup the lost money but what happened next was a cascade of more losses which then took me even longer to get back. Sometimes, the eagerness to regain lost money will yield good results but very often it's bad. And it's not only in gambling, even in trading markets (crypto/forex/stocks, etc), without emotional strength, it would become very bad, very fast.

The best way to deal with situations like that is simply to take sometime off and cool off and regain some emotional strength. I did it and I'm back to winning ways. I need to remind myself of this more often.

This could be said to be a simple mistake, but this mistake occurs repeatedly in almost every gambling session we do. and I laughed when I heard that.. hahaha... We continue to make the mistakes we did before. It seems that we are no smarter than a donkey, because no matter how stupid a donkey is, it will never fall into the same hole. We all know that gambling will only bring us closer to a loss, and the bad behavior we do will only cause a loss, but for some reason we like to do this, even though we know that it is wrong behavior.

So what about you, do you still make the same mistakes every time you gamble or when placing a bet? If yes, it means that we are stupider than a donkey.. haha
One of the carelessness of gamblers is always making the same mistakes in every game session, they assume there is a chance in that game pattern so they don't stop trying to get a chance to win in that gambling pattern, but they are never lucky and they don't regret making the same mistake and they do it again On other bets, I don't have any tips for this type of gambler because gambling addiction has damaged their mindset and they won't care about any advice except their desire to chase high winnings from gambling.
There are some gamblers who, given a suggestion, will never follow through on that suggestion until they lose the gamble. But after losing that suggestion is worthless. I requested a gambler to make some changes in his gambling pattern but he never heeded my words but tried to avoid it. When he suddenly suffered a big loss, he became depressed. A gambler should understand that winning in gambling is uncertain. There is no profit in betting on a pattern. Of course he should also change his gambling pattern with time. A gambler can lose all his money due to gambling mistakes which is very normal. Some gamblers make monotonous decisions which I find depressingly boring. Although luck plays a role in winning in gambling, I think strategy must be changed.

I wouldn't really call things that are out of your control (which for example is you being unable to predict that making a bet on that particular round's going to win you a wad of money) as a mistake. Since first off, you only did so because you literally have little to nothing to work with when it comes to determining whether you'd win or not. Furthermore, you did the right thing in this situation which normally would ensure you don't lose all your money in one go.

I don't want you to beat yourself up for stuff that you have no agency or control over. It's one thing to regret perhaps losing all your money when you're revenge gambling, after all, you're always in control of when and how to stop yourself from bleeding any more cash while you're gambling, while it's another to actually not have a clue whether you'd win or lose. So yeah, don't be regretful over stuff like that, I personally don't even consider them as mistakes since you really have nothing to do with it. Save your regrets and head scratches for more in-line reasons like actually fumbling your whole bankroll all because you didn't stop when you're already frustrated and on the edge.

When we often ignore the small problems that exist within us when gambling, because if these problems are left alone, without looking for solutions and solutions, then over time these problems will become increasingly difficult and complicated to resolve. And this happens to almost everyone, including me personally, I don't deny that I still often make these small mistakes, and in fact these mistakes happen repeatedly every time I gamble or when placing a bet. Where because I feel dissatisfied with the final results of the gambling or betting that I make, I again reach into my wallet to make a deposit so that I can place another bet... and this can really cause losses in the long term. As for the efforts I made to get out of this bad habit, apart from trying to limit the amount of deposits, I also tried to keep myself busy with positive things, with the aim of reducing the time I dedicate to gambling. Becoming a responsible gambler is not easy enough, but I will try to do it.

It was an annoying little mistake, but on the other hand sometimes I also feel lucky because I missed a round that I should have lost. The error that occurs to me is usually a network problem, my internet network is unstable so sometimes the network disconnects when I want to bet or in the middle of a game, especially when I play live casino which requires a stable network.

One of my best luck because of a mistake was when I played a crash and targeted 100x, while I was playing suddenly my network was disconnected, my network reconnected and it turned out I won 100x, if at that time the network was not disconnected then maybe I would have taken profit before reaching 100x. But of course there are more losses due to network errors but I'm too lazy to tell about it because it hurts  Cheesy

Back when I was a college student, I used to gamble Dota 2 and CSGO skins in dota2/csgolounge where I would win tons of skins after a single game. Then, there was this bot that was introduced on Steam where you would play blackjack against it. If you won, the bot will instantly trade you and reward you with "keys" where you could open crates which was the main currency for trading at that time.

Fast forward, I betted 1-2 keys per game and the games would result to me winning at least 5 keys per day. Then, everything went downhill when I started to experience my first loss. I started with 2 keys and ended up earning as much as 35 keys in the process. When I started losing, I was losing like 1-2 keys per trade until I got so tilted and bet everything in one go. At the end, I lost and I decided to never touch gambling again on games due to the pain of that feeling that day.

In conclusion, simple mistakes can definitely cascade and snowball into bigger problems especially if your emotions get the best of you. It is very easy to be level-headed once you are in that position but I guess that is the only way to prevent losing everything.

I think a lot of gamblers underestimate the importance of emotional stability and strength when it comes to gambling.
