Hello
Currently, we have implemented some protection measures for our servers which unfortunately affected website usability. For now it stays our priority, but we're working on it as we seek to make user experience better.
Thank you for your feedback

Welcome to the forum.
I hope that your presence will be useful for users to answer their inquiries and that you will be able to build continued trust with the Bitcointalk community.

It seems that there are already problems connecting to the servers. The connection is very slow loading page , as other users have previously stated, and this encourages users not to use the mixer if it will consume more time than necessary, especially since there are other mixers who are able to perform the service without disruption. Is there work in progress to deal with this problem and when is it supposed to end ?

I don't understand why all other mixers (someone corrects me if I'm wrong) don't use the option to give clients the possibility to get private keys
Giving private keys requires a whole different level of trust. In that case, there is no Letter of Guarantee to prove foul play. And it requires withdrawing fixed amounts.

Maybe I'm just used to using CM, but I don't understand why all other mixers (someone corrects me if I'm wrong) don't use the option to give clients the possibility to get private keys, and not exclusively the option to send mixed coins in transaction. It's just an additional expense for the mixer, and I don't believe it provides any additional anonymity for the client.

From the perspective of someone who has tried several mixers, I always go back to the one that has the best conditions and ease of use.

What's your explanation?

Hello
The explanation is this:
We don't keep any logs regarding IPs, dates and connections between user's transactions to the mixer and from it. So primarily by logs I mean information that could compromise user's identity or reveal the connection between his transactions before and after using mixer. Mixing code cannot do that. Also, the mixer address (to which the user sends his btc) is marked by Mixing code until this address is either used or the amount on it is mixed with others to insignificant proportion. And finally, as soon as mixer address is spent - all info about it is deleted, so after quite short time there is absolutely no data left about user's request.

- We don't keeps logs. All the info about completed mixings is deleted within 1 hour.
Mixing code is needed when you actively use mixer, so to make sure that you don't receive your own bitcoins from previous mixings.
I've seen this combination of claims many times from many different websites, but I've never seen an explanation of how addresses are linked to the code without keeping logs.
The first time I saw this question raised was here:

https://bitmixer.io/faqs.html

What is a Bitmixer code?

After your first exchange you will receive a special Bitmixer code. This code makes sure that you will never receive any of the previous coins you have added to our reserves in any subsequent transactions you make with Bitmixer. In other words this ensures that you remain untraceable.

Day 1: I mixed U$100 worth of bitcoins and received a Bitmixer code so that when I mix subsequent coins I won't received what I previously mixed back. Fine!

48 Hours Later: I mixed another U$100 worth of bitcoins and received bitcoins back which none were of what I've mixed two days prior. Fine!

36 Hours Later: I mixed another U$100 worth of bitcoins and received bitcoins back which none were of what I've mixed two transactions prior. Fine!

Question: How were the last two transactions achieved given the following? ...

http://themerkle.com/news/interview-with-the-owner-of-bitmixer-io-a-high-volume-bitcoin-mixer/

Quote
Our servers are located in a country where US authorities can’t get access to the server without a local court order. Bitcoin is not considered as money here, so we can’t be a money-laundering service. We use encrypted disks. We delete all order data after 24 hours. We completely erase old bitcoin addresses from our wallet after coins are sent out. Even if the server is seized, they will find nothing.

Clearly, my Bitmixer code remains on file attached to bitcoin wallet addresses I've previously used, else there would be a strong possibility of me receiving some of the coins back that I may not want attached to me, but that would be an impossibility given that ALL order data is purged from your system within 24 hours, as stated above, resulting in the 3-LAs et al. finding nothing.

Further, I'll be paying you a fee to mix coins stemming from a nefarious act with the strong possibility that I'll be receiving coins stemming from a nefarious act tens of times worst than what I'm tryin' to hide. Surely, wouldn't that bring the feds to my door a knockin' a helluva lot quicker? It'll be pretty embarrassing for me to defend myself if accused of running a underage goat brothel when in fact I ONLY pimp out adult chickens and occasionally a matured goose (soon to pimp ducks - drakes and hens).

Humor aside, I look forward to your reply, devs.
The question wasn't answered, but 3 weeks later the largest mixer quit, followed by some sarcasm.

What's your explanation?

I should've been clearer [my bad]... I knew the usage of mixing codes, but I meant to ask what happens when your pre-mixer reserve finishes? Sooner or later you're going to rely on the funds gathered through the mixing service itself... Am I right?
- I'm trying to point out how that could directly/indirectly link your users together.

It breaks the link between your crypto transactions before and after using the mixer, so there is no way to trace your transactions.
Am I correct in assuming that since you're providing mixing codes, then it doesn't completely break the link between someone else's transactions and ours?

- While you're taking one thing out of the equation, you're leaving the rest in!

Enter the receiving address or addresses (the address to which you the result will be sent)
It seems that there's no error in adding the same address with identical delays and distributions and based on the provided signed letter/message, I believe it counts each one of them as a separate address so it's going to unnecessarily add a slightly more fee!

- The mixer has pre-mixer reserve of bitcoins, so you can mix your btc most quickly.
How much is the maximum amount of Bitcoins I could mix using your service?

Currently, max amount is 70 btc, it will increase in the near future

I agree with you but many websites are still using Cloudlfare (including Bitcointalk), maybe because there is no better alternative for ddos attacks.

There are many good alternatives (Imperva, Sucuri, AWS Shield, DDoS-Guard and such), but people choose Cloudflare because it's free and straightforward to setup. The most cheap and secure alternative is to buy a ~5$/mo VPS from a top-tier provider like OVH or Hetzner (that include DDoS protection) to use it as a reverse-proxy along with a Let's Encrypt certificate. That's how some privacy-oriented projects avoid using Cloudflare while keeping their clearnet resources operational and protected.

Also, currently Cloudflare ruins UX on Bitcointalk for users like me a lot, since mostly Cloudflare keeps me stuck at the "Just a moment..." page for around 5-10 minutes before I can access the forum.

It feels like I am time traveling and using ''good-old'' dial-up internet, only thing I am missing is that familiar squeaky sound Wink
One more thing I noticed is that Sinbad is using only telegram for support, but link is not opening any group or a channel, but some bot so we can't see anything.

Cloudflare logs absolutely everything and you can be sure about it. Also, their "Checking if the site connection is secure" wording is a biggest snake oil of digital security - sites that use Cloudflare put their users privacy and security at risk (when the treat model consists of law enforcement being an adversary, which is common nowadays).

I was wondering who could be interested to buy this domain name for $13k to launch a mixer. Nobody.
I started to think you recycled an old domain name. No problem with that but I find the name weird for a mixer. Hoping you don't do sin bad at sinbad.io Grin

The logo is not a custom one, perhaps it could me more professional to hire someone to make a unique one.

Welcome to the community.

Few things you can do to improve your post above.
1. Buy a copper membership so that you are able to post image.
2. Hire a good designer and layout the post with graphical presentation.

Do you have a plan to advertise in this community?
There are many marketing campaign managers including me.

[...] but not 100% sure since the website use "Let's Encrypt" certificate.[...]

Regardless of a certificate issuer being used, certificates are operated by Cloudflare's reverse-proxy servers that receive all data, decrypt it and transmit to origin servers, what imminently gives Cloudflare access to all data between site users and origin servers making it a traditional MITM. There is also a setting to disable SSL/TLS for communication with origin servers to send everything via unencrypted HTTP on port 80, since it's not required for origin servers to use SSL/TLS at all and end-users can never know whether web site owners have it or not.

I tried opening the website and got this error message "Gateway time-out Error code 504" by CloudFlare.

For me it worked (both clear net and tor link worked).

I tried again and it worked this time.

- We don't keeps logs.

Well, maybe you don't, but CloudFlare may do. Consider doing something about that.

--snip--

I was going to say that earlier, but not 100% sure since the website use "Let's Encrypt" certificate. Anyway, i would recommend OP and everyone who visit this thread to read these discussion,

Some more:
* you may want, for the curious eyes, show the min/max amounts to the first page, before the user has to click "mix"
* the verify message is nice, but since I've noticed people don't know how to verify messages, you may want to add a button for the newbie (which, if the message is not verified, can redirect to a tutorial)

I will add that I like that the fee is not too big, still, you may need to have patience until you build a user base, since there's always a trust issue when new services start.
Clearly people should use the Tor link and you should do something about the (bad and newbish) combination with Cloudflare on clear net.
