Some countries are just preparing for crypto and integrating some rules for crypto. So when they make a move, we with help of media begin to think that they are banning the crypto. Something like Korea case recently.

That is the major shit happening in the media, already Singapore government mentioned they are looking into crypto and in some articles they mentioned they don't find anything negative about the cryptocurrency. Sooner they will come up with some regulation for cryptos.

Yes countries should prepare for the crypto, it's a great technology, it will be a shame to shut down this great technology, and I am relieved to see Singapore is not banning crypto, if more countries released this kind of statement, bitcoin will be back on track and will have a bigger power to be used by all people

Singapore's Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam said the country's government will "not ban" cryptocurrency.
In Asia, Japan and Singapore are the best markets for cryptocurrency and blockchain in recent years. In China, Vietnam, Indonesia banned bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market, Singapore was very active in developing Blockchain and cryptocurrency markets.

Good to hear countries embracing the benefits of blockchain technology but I believe China's ban of bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies is just a rumor and sounds so manipulative to me. I don't think countries like China will ignore the benefit of blockchain technology, as what the recent news says they are very much interested to it and willing to work with other countries to develop a good blockchain project.

Even though I haven’t verified, I believe the ban would be something that China would likely do. China has already banned Google and you would need to use a VPN in order to access it. Their internet is very filtered and censored so it goes to show how controlling their administration it. I don't see China as a country that is open to foreign and unfamiliar things and although that blockchain technology should benefit them, I think that they would rather not deal with it since it may pose some 'threat' to their country as they have little to no control over it.

It is indeed a very good news! The more users of bitcoin the more booming the market will be. Good thing that there are still a lot of countries who have a positive outlook and embracing the cryptocurrency.

I believe it is true. As what you mentioned it is ended a good place for cryptos.although virtual money is not possible that government can control over it but still the can control people who are participating here specially the exchanges. I believe that Singapore and Japan will lead the whole world to change it from traditional currency into a new kind which is more advance and highly recommended for making people to become convenient.

Of course it will impact on bitcoin value and AFAIK , singapore also have great demand on bitcoin so it's possible that they will develop their own coin to adapt the technology that seems fit in this digital era.
All can we do is wait and for me, I just hold it

It is good for them because as what i have read before some of their restaurant are accepting Bitcoin as a payment and suddenly they have to ban it but thankfully they did not. It might be a big loss for some of business owners out there, and probably those who goes to their restaurant are pure crypto-enthusiasts.

If that is true then it is good for the crypto currency future because singapore is one of the most developed country so many countries will follow their decision. But many countries didn't ban the crypto currenxies there are so much of rumors created by the bitcoin haters whuch created FUD among the investors and resulted in price fall.

Basically when there are news like this I'm googling it alone to verify if there's a real news behind it and these are the few articles that I found.

Singapore Confirms It Will Not ‘Ban’ Cryptocurrency, Has No ‘Risk Concerns’

Singapore says no strong case to ban cryptocurrency trading

I read the articles and based from my understanding, Singapore has yet to ban cryptocurrencies since they believe that it does not pose a threat to financial conditions at the moment. Though this may be conditional upon the cases against cryptos, as of the moment they see it as something that can be beneficial to the society while accepting the risks of it (i.e. losing all of your investments due to carelessness or due to being too confident).
True, they don't see cryptocurrency as a threat to their economy so when there are news like ban in bitcoin everyone should do their own research.

When it comes to this type of news that a country "will not ban" crypto, there's a very small impact to the price.

But when a news comes out and says "Wolf of the mountain says bitcoin is fraud.... etc" bitcoin is plummeting.

Can you please post the link here so that we can read everything about Singapore stance on bitcoin? Too lazy to search the web right now.  Smiley. One thing that goes with Singapore is that is a Information Technology hub for the in the last decades or more. So they are really inclined to adopt new technologies such as crypto. So they are going to attract entrepreneurs to make Singapore as their home based if indeed they are going to stay on embracing cryptos. And maybe we will see that they will become behind Japan as one of the prime movers. I would like to see them give incentives to ICO companies as well. Similar to what Belarus did, 5 years tax free, thus becoming a blockchain and crypto hub country.

It is a good news for all of us who are really wanting this thing that the cryptocurrency will be fully adapt by all of the country all over the world, I hope that Singapore will also lists cryptocurrency in their market so that the demand will increase more and since Singapore is one of the influential country in Asia hoping that some country will do the same.

This is definitely a good start to begin with considering that Singapore, a highly developed country, begins to view cryptocurrencies as something that bring no harm YET. Like you mentioned, Singapore is an influential country in Asia together with Japan and they may break the stigma of cryptocurrencies as a threat to the government and to the country. Though we cannot hide ourselves from the fact that the transactions are indeed anonymous, personally I believe that the advantages that it brings outweighs the disadvantages and implications.

Although the Singapore government has no problem with crypto business, the banks will not allow to open bank account for ICO startups. Besides, almost all the banks are not allowing crypto businesses to create account and make transactions. I think after the G20 summit when all the superpowers sit and decide on the global regulatory structure of ICO & cryptocurrency all of these uncertainties should come to an end.
