there are problem with qtum...i'm not so sure that they are 100%legit.
Qtum topic is full of scam alert

I think Qtum is a scam Grin Grin Grin

They have a proven scammer in their team and they know it, yet choose to continue with him - which raises all kinds of questions. I just hope they don't have anything to do with Skycoin.

if satoshi is here.. all government will call satoshi a scammer for sure.

Update:

...

ICO Update:

...

We have decided we will distribute a portion of the Skycoin over time to people running Skycoin meshnet nodes. To promote network usage and to get users on to the network and balance out the whales.

This is probably the most fair way to distribute a lot of coins and no one will complain about it. If distribution lowers the price, we will cut back the distribution rate. We will have to determine empirically what the right amount should be.

So this will be very similar to mining and will be a good way of getting coins into the hands of the user community.

It is very important for future price :

You are saying you will directly intervene to support the price.
In order to never be under last ICO price ?
Will you temporary cut distribution to 0 if necessary ?
Conversely, if price has doubled, what will you do ? Distribute more and eventually lower the price ? Or consider thresholds like X2, X3, X5, and create a "ratchet effect" to be sure it never goes under these thresholds ?

Thanks by advance for your answer

About the history of ICO, how much was raised... I am surprised that you didn't mention that when you were talking about market cap.

Current cap is 100 mill? is that correct?
Are there 3 mill coins in circulation?

Qtum Crowdsales:
These are very interesting. Everyone should look at these
- https://qtum.org
Qtum, will probably replace ethereum because it is simpler and has fewer problems. The UXTO model is much cleaner. They have a lot of previous developers and have already done two previous coins and are the best team I have seen so far.

What the hell ? I just read the thread and this looks like one of the biggest scam in crypto ever.

I also came to conclusion it is scam, I dont know why you promote this.

I don't get this:
Quote
ICO Update:

No matter what we do, three people end up buying all of the ICO. A few hundred people bought ~100 or 300 coins, but 2 or 3 people buy up the rest of the ICO round in 50 or 100 Bitcoin blocks.
[...]

But at https://www.c2cx.com/trade_sky you are still selling coins (Total SKY Redeemed: 263465 of 500000 SKY).

Or am I getting something wrong?

yes, it is current partial ICO (max 500000 skycoins)
I see big players are coming in...

IOTA was/is First one

@SKYcoin maybe you can do some kind of brainstorming with IOTA devs

Byteballs is the first coin (besides skycoin) to be able to achieve consensus in a public network, without mining. They have gotten rid of the blockchain and replaced it with a DAG. I think the future is going to be with a variant of this approach. We have been considering this for years, for a Skycoin 2.0. I have not reviewed their code or implementation, but the concept is extremely innovative.

"Byteballs is the first coin (besides skycoin) to be able to achieve consensus in a public network, without mining."

This is not correct. IOTA was there first.

true that, you can ask bb dev himself as well, i am not promoting or defaming anyone, what they have is also interesting, but i would like facts to be correct.

I think the future is going to be with a variant of this approach. We have been considering this for years, for a Skycoin 2.0. I have not reviewed their code or implementation, but the concept is extremely innovative.

Usually I wouldn't spend calories on this, but as the founder of IOTA, and as someone who actually chatted with you when you first announced Skycoin 2.5 years ago as I felt it was an interesting project, I feel I have to clear this up: IOTA announced DAG work back in 2014 and started work on a full implementation mid-2015 with early beta in January 2016. Since then we have had tens of millions of dollars transacted in the network and collaborate with several of the larges corporates in the world with a working implementation, so Byteball being 'first' is demonstrably fallicious.

That being cleared up, I would love to have a chat with you again to discuss some potential overlap.

Regards,
David
