I think it's better to just stick to coins that are there in the coinmarketcap site, let's say around the top 50 coins and choose which coin you'd like to invest that are still small and might have room to grow in the future. At least there is an assurance that those coins might not be a scam.

It's not hard you should see the roadmaps of the coin and there development status nowadays so many coins are getting listed on big exchanges like poloniex , bittrex. See the coins bit shares , metal , OMG all these coins we so low but if you all follwed your slack and telegram they give hints of future exchange listing and new features just watch out for these you must have done this by random but it won't work always every time the price increases there is a reason.

I recently decided to invest 50$ into buzzcoin (really small coin, barely anyone knows about them), because the value was about 10 sats so i figured what the hell, right. Now it just got a reasonable pump that made me almost 350$ in profits in less than 5 days.

How would you find coins like this on a rather regular basis, are there strategies people follow? I don't plan on investing large amounts of money in them, as I've got BTC, LTC, NEO and a few ICO's for that, but it's fun to look for small coins that haven't pumped yet and invest a couple tens of dollars in them.

Congrats, bro! There are several traders out there who are becoming hunters for these mostly unknown and undervalued coins that are otherwise promising and whose project is generally good. Such very cheap coins will, kind of ironically, be the ones that will give off big profits.

Thanks man!

Sometimes there are small coins that have great opportunities to profit like there are coins that has a value of 1 satoshi when you bought it and then after a while, it move and then became 2 satoshi so you doubled your money on that but may take a long time. If you have spare money then you can try investing on it. Many coins are pump daily and if the coin you choose is chosen for a pump then you will be lucky. I saw some channels pumping coins in yobit and by just one pump they can reach up to 1000% so if they choose the coin you buy then you are lucky.

Take a look at UKC, on Nova Exchange. Could see some small pumping soon. The whitepapers and other updates are soon to be released. Dev is active.

Has been going between 1-3sats these last days.

Yeah , this is the truth in the trading that if you have investment in the small coins then there are lots of chances to make earnings then what we can make in big prices coin .
Here i made myself earnings in many coins like HTC , i bought HTC at 1 Satoshi of 0.001btc but after two months it get changed into 14 Satoshi , so you can expect that what i made after two month .
Here Personally i was not aware with these things of low price coin because i was thinking these are useless , but when I figured out that if i can buy 1 Satoshi coin and if it increases to 2 Satoshi then surely I double my investment  , so here a type of small risk involve but profit will remain in bulk .
Usually the most of the coins get down to 1 Satoshi for ever ( best example is pac coin , eva coin , alien coin ) .
Here my suggestion for you to buy creva , posw , rdd , doge , blry , putin coin.

Thanks for the suggestions, will check em out!

Maybe look to ocl. Looks promising.
Iconic is going live 1st October. Already up 400% on my portfolio. Looking forward. Gamble.

Well it maybe positive enough to look forward of, but don't be too confident at this promising visions because you really needed to always be careful. The cryptos might be so volatile and it even lose it's value during long time trades as well. That's why most of the traders were safely monitoring their assets and always be up to date the current holdings sell value.

I look for market cap and supply of that coin. If supply is low and cap is reasonably high that means it can reach higher prices by good development..

Still many ICO has been initialized based on eth smart contracts. These tokens will be soon added to market cap list. If we invest to buy a pretty decent altcoin means I will suggest to try ETH, ETC, BCH, Dash, zcash, Dodge and Dash. I noticed Bitconnect is now cost around 115USD but when it started its value is around 1 USD. Choose the decent coin.

Those coins are very risky and controlled by just few people. Developers hold at least 90% of the coins. Trading them has no difference than gambling, be careful!

Look into masternode coins with an ROI - they reduce the risk of holding the coin because in the end you have more of them. Even if the price goes down unless something drastic happens you should be able to generate the difference to what you paid initially.

With CRAVE you get around 1.45 a day, CROWN is 4.5-9 a day, LINDA up to 200K a day.

Also, these coins less likely to experience big selloffs because of the locked up capital.

There's some really small cheap coins in this list that could get a lot more popular:

Thanks man, that's great info!

I still hold my Dogecoins and BCN. They are my candidates for growth with low investment although both had from beginning on no good predictions. But I like them.
