The Chinese exchanges started accepting fiat payments for Bitcoin months before the "Mike Hearn" stuff - and the current price DOES in fact reflect the aftershocks of the resulting BIG JUMP at the time.

If the Chinese Government creates a digital currency, it might use some of the TECHNOLOGY from Bitcoin but it WILL NOT BE BITCOIN.

They are only interested at the pump and dump for big profits, create their own coins and try to get as much money as possible. They are not really contributing for the ecosystem.

If the Chinese government creates its own currency, it can only force the Chinese people to use it. It will be an altcoin.

Chinese has been in bitcoin forever, they also have the largest mining farms and the largest hasrate portion of the whole network. so i don't think then accepting bitcoin is anything new.

but if they decide to do exactly what they did with litecoin to bitcoin too then we are all in for a big treat.

Bet you feel stupid Mike Hearn dont you ?

Why you said that China accepting "bitcorn" (I think you make a misspelling and you mean "bitcoin" instead...) ....

Where you read that news? I think that market will react with a BTC GAIN of 100% in one day!

I think he purposely mis-spelt bitcoin as "bitcorn".
You may want to find out more about the origin of "bitcorn":

but without any official news or press article, we are talking about what?

OP could you please show where you read that China will accept "Bitcorn" (or much better "Bitcoin"?)

Or we are talking about nothing Cheesy : I give you a hint:
You can spend your btc in the paradise/even? Due the different nature from fiat currency....

there is no need for news link to that, mining companies already exist on China.
what else proof is needed there, they are hardware already.

China as a nation actually doesn't have any laws about btc or maybe there is not a law that embrace btc.
This is why I talk about "official news" or press article.
If all mining activity going to antartic or polo north we can recycle this title?!?  Roll Eyes

Bet you feel stupid Mike Hearn dont you ?

Where is the source of this?  And btw remember they controll they mining pools so they are already into bitcoin.
BTW I think Hearn just wanted to make a statement and thi swas a legit stetement.

The blocksize is a problem and we need a solution for it.

i think it is more about government legalizing bitcoin, you know some kind of regulation for bitcoin. as we all know they are already using bitcoin more than any other country.

I thought China created a new currency and named it Bitcorn if I have not read comments.  Grin...

Lol, I thought it was rice, not corn which was much appreciated in China.

Sounds more like a banking 'cashless society' than a decentralised currency.  If that's the case then they're throwing the baby out with the bathwater and it wouldn't then phase me in the slightest.
