Sounds like a weird app.   I'll make a dog collar for my dog and let his run the fields nearby.

This broke my heart. My dog heard the howl, jumped on my bed, and cuddled me. We finished watching together.

This is epic! an alt coin on BBC with corporate funding!! This could do a lot to attract more people to alt coins.

exactly what i"m thinking !  and what will these people cash out their coins to ?  bitcoin probably !

Lets hope it catches on and other companies start making their own altcoins.

Not a good idea. If companies started making their own coins they would be too centralized. Plus Bitcoins value would probably drop significantly.
they wanted wristbands and footwear to be implemented. However I don't think the coin will ever ROI when you have to buy extra shit just to earn it.

That's true. I would just implement it into already avaliable products.

It's genius!
.
.
.

Except for the fact that anyone with half a brain can exploit the fuck outta this coin. Even if they have safeguards. Although integration with fitbit would be cool.

Bitwalking hasn't officially released the algorithm used to verify steps but says it uses the handsets' GPS position and wi-fi connections to calculate the distance travelled.

So you're letting some company track you all the time for pennies. I guess we're in a race to the bottom of the worth of privacy, with the dumbest of us out in front.

yeah thats a good point

There are too many ways to earn the coins without actual working. The system can be abused. It is not very encouraging.

If there's a coin you can mine based on jerking off, most of you wankers would be millionaires.   Grin

But for realz, I very much like the idea behind walking being the driving force behind a coin but methinks it's perhaps a tad too gimicky and I don't think anything like that would be successful.  But who knows?

Some people will make some money emulating tons of phones on a computer...

I'll start coding a GPS signal emulator that will fire off data to the coin servers LOL
But wait !
Who says the dev's didn't do that before launch ?
AKA: the private miner on launch scam.

They will have to make sure it only runs on iOS and Android users can join in 6 months later hahaah
Sorry MS guys you don't get to join in at all.
