My analysis doesn't show any evidence of laundering. Try and think before you post conclusions.

Since the decoded message stems from that Hitchhiker book(s), shouldn't we be searching this forum to see who has referenced other aspects of Douglas Adams' novel(s)?

Why does it matter? I swear you guys often go on these witch hunts for no reason.

We need a reason?

BTW, search this forum using the term "Restaurant at the End" (with quotes) and see what you find. Only three names. That should narrow it. Oui!

Silly people, pirate's telling you where he's gone.  He is spending a year dead for tax purposes and can be found at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

Who, in a geek forum, has mentioned douglas adams?  That is gonna be a big list.

I bet it was a fat guy.

Or a tall guy.
Geek forums tend to have a lot of self referential stuff.

Probably, like, at least 42 people.

You dont get it yet:

1945 -> "Operation Sunrise" -> Fat Man -> Nagasaki

Yes, I got that. But what was it that the sun actually said? "Hi, long lost relative"? "I won't stand for competition"? "Holy shit, I never knew I had a kid"? Not much point explaining the mechanics of the joke without also including the punchline in the explanation.

"Fat Man" was the codename for the atomic bomb that detonated over Nagasaki.

And I think "the sun" is an allusion to the fat address (or its owner).

Also, "The Sun" is a newspaper.  Cheesy

The sun is on flag of Japan.

You're not helping, waspoza.

I know that song but in this case the "fat man" refers to the "big bomb". Anybodys know what the sun says?

The "fish" of course are all the bona fide inverstors.

Ah, hence the "What did the sun say to the Fat Man?" joke. Something like "Hey you, piss off or you'll face a demarcation dispute like you've never seen before!"

You know, because the sun and the Fat Man are both nuclear devices? Sheesh, hate having to explain jokes.

"What did the sun say to the fat man?"

Quote
Don't want to be a fat man,
People would think that I was
Just good fun.
Would rather be a thin man,
I am so glad to go on being one.
Too much to carry around with you,
No chance of finding a woman who
Will love you in the morning and all the night time too.

Don't want to be a fat man,
Have not the patience to ignore all that.
Hate to admit to myself half of my problems
Came from being fat.
Won't waste my time feeling sorry for him,
I seen the other side to being thin.
Roll us both down a mountain
And I'm sure the fat man would win.

You sure that's correct, Phinn? I'd imagined the sun to be somewhat more terse than that.
