Countries will always have interests overseas. They will always want politicians who will favour them to gain power. None of the world powers will claim that they are not spending money on propaganda in other countries. The US will not also deny that it has also sponsored propaganda to support a presidential candidate in any country. America influenced the election of my country by refusing to provide criminal information about a candidate, which would have led to his disqualification. They did that because he would become a puppet to the US.
Just like they have supporters and opposers of the war in Ukraine and Gaza, the US is a land of freedom where people can freely support an ideology. There are Americans who believe that a cordial relationship between the US and Russia will lead to world peace. Trump once said that if he had the president, the war in Ukraine wouldn't have started. Some people have reasons to support Trump's good relationship with Putin.
There were reports that Russia helped Trump win his election against Hilary Clinton. But they failed to influence the next elections, and Trump lost. I don't know if they can still influence the November elections because Kamala has been leading in most of the pools. Maybe a hack of Kamala's phone can turn the tide just like it did in 2016.

The point is that the American warmongers and money-mongers want to control the world thru America. The world is going to fight back against their control, and some Americans who want FREEDOM will help the world.
The American people want success. But they don't want it by causing other nations to kill each other off - like American leaders are causing to happen in Ukraine and Russia, and in Israel and Gaza.
All the general populace of America wants is FREEDOM, and the right to be left alone. And they want this for the people of the general populaces of other nations, as well.
Here is what is happening in America. The average people are weak in leadership, because they are not narcissistic psychopaths like the ambitious leaders are. In fact, that's why the leaders were able to become leaders... because they are ambitious narcissistic psychopaths. For this reason average people don't rise up against their narcissistic psychopathic leaders and bring peace around the world. Their nature is not ambitious enough to do this.
Whatever the American right wing leaders were, they were simply ambitious enough to fight against the American warmongers and money-mongers who want to control the world... and they used whatever means they could find to accomplish those goals... even accepting help from other nations.

It just recently came out in a Department of Justice indictment that right wing media pundits were receiving Russian funding to continue their operations. It we're not just talking about puny funding, we're talking grants to the tune of millions a year.

Most of these people were vocal Trump and republican party supporters, unashamedly pushing very vocal propaganda in favor of the Trump campaign. Now it's come out that their biggest and most direct funding source not only originates from Russia, but has direct ties to the Russian state.
Isn't it funny, while the U.S. is at least indirectly fighting a war against Russia, some of Trump's most famous supporters online are revealed to be paid off by Russian state actors.
Given this revelation, the American right has a historic opportunity to turn this all on its head. End the cold war era propaganda against Russia and fully embrace that labeling its media as "foreign adversaries" isn't good for U.S. interests. Will they be brave enough to embrace this or do they want to just keep their support for Russia hush hush?
