The scam was very clever in that it encouraged early hoarding vs dumping with a 100% PoS reward for the first year. The 'dev' dumped the hidden pre-mine while speculators hoarded, maximizing their selling price. Had it not been discovered when it was, it could have been far worse.

This hidden premine is a shame. Thanks God I'm not holding it.

We have to ask ourselves, who has the most to lose from any alternative becoming successful? Then we have to ask ourselves who determines the success.. Since most alts are valued solely in btc.. who are the gatekeepers?

Its like putting the wolves in charge of the chicken coop.

I think its time to open a conspiracy theory thread.....lets put the pieces together Wink

Most coins take a little off the top with a premine.

In Soviet Asia, coin maker take everything and give you premine!

Whoever it is put alot of thought into this one and had know how. Some people are very threatened by any alt that *may* take a little market share away from the big pie. Perhaps the powers that be are trying really hard to damage the reputation of the alt communities.

The best thing to do from this point forward (some of us have already been doing it) is to stay away from the shiny object of the day, and only trust coins we compile ourselves that come from reputable repos.

Very possible
