'The right to privacy matters'
I use Bing for years and I have earned gift cards.  I usually get  a 5 USD Amazon card 1 time per month.

As for Bing only doing it for the USA.  It must be all they could afford to spend.

I am working towards an Amazon card.

Live like there is no tomorrow!
It says a lot about the mindset of Microsoft/Bing. I predict hard times ahead with such an antiquated mindset.

I'm not sure whether it is the mindset that they should be afraid of. I think it's hard to survive when you've to compete against a company like Google. Owning that much money, they don't really care in loosing some money in risky investments or developments. They've lots of money to develop things and to "try out" ways to make even more money.

Sure, also Microsoft owns much money, but I think that's spread in more divisions and not only based on online services.

I usually don't mind either one... Bing or Google.. and probably use them 50/50.

However, having this only available in the US is Bing pissing on its users around the world.

I'll try to stay clear of Bing because of this. Would be cool to see them get burnt because of this disrespect for their international users.

I don't think they would care about a few people stop using them because of this ("disrespect for their international users"). I'm sure they made some calculations and educated decisions about who to include in loyalty programs / rewarding programs and who not.

I don't use Bing often. I only use it when I directly search something through the browser URL field; otherwise I'll visit Google first to look something up.

Yes, apparently they don't care.

Americans make up about 5% of people on earth. Also in purchasing power Americans are nowhere near 80% or anything like that to make such a haphazard decision. However, it is no surprise that some American companies cannot understand that the world is far bigger than the US.

Bitcoin isn't a bubble. It's the pin!
That is very interesting if this does work. I have heard that Bing rewards is legit. I have never heard of Tango though. But if this does work, than it seems like it could be an easy way of earning some extra Bitcoin.

It sounds like a very bright business idea but as other people claim that it is simply not available in their country or region a d those blessed ones who are able to access it claim that it is not functioning properly and regard it as just another stupid scam.

I've read this article on CoinDesk http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-reward-option-tango-card/ and started looking into what is this Tango Card. It turns out Bing rewards can be paid in Tango Cards. So if the article is true then we can just search with Bing, earn points, then convert these points into TangoCards and convert TangoCards to Bitcoins. In a sense we will be paid Bitcoins for using Bing.

I haven't tried Tango Cards myself yet. Please let me know if anybody did. Still I do use Bing rewards for few years now. I know Bing vs Google is a religious topic, but in a reality they got to the point that whatever you search the search results will be pretty much the same on Google and on Bing. So if Bing pays me for each search and Google doesn't then I will be using Bing. So far I've earned several Xbox gift cards, Skype minutes etc. But now it looks like I can be earning Bitcoins which makes the whole "rewards" thing much more fun for me.

if you haven't heard about Bing rewards go here: https://www.bing.com/explore/rewards Or just Google Bing Rewards Smiley

Let me know if you tried Tango cards and if it's easy to convert Tango=>BTC. So far I'm 170 of 575 points on a way to my first Tango Card. I'll let you know once I get it.

Until now could you tel me does it worth using bing for searching and earn btc.

I Think Bing Rewards Program Is Accepting Members from Certain Countries Only Means Tier 1 Countries Only. Bing is Paying to Members From USA, Canada, UK, etc., It would be better if Bing Accepts Members from China, India, Japan, etc.,

This is absolutely old treks was saw before in tango also now bing trying to do this as usual.. anyway that is useless when it comes with restriction and only with Bing because as a search engine bing is not much effective like google, so it will be only for US people and with low reputation search engine with force of use that, i think that tango card would not get popularity when it not comes with majority of market share holder. Someone told also this facilities only for US too so they trying to become forms ..

Why do you both have to post the same thing at different times using same Italic and bold? TrackCoin did you jsut copy paste Jamil.Kmils post just editing few sentences?

still can't change my profile pic
I'm still like 50% on a way to get Tango Card, so I will not have a chance to try it myself soon.

Still I'm really puzzled by what kenw2 reported. Why would you show Bitcoin as reward option and once the user is ready to redeem you would remove Bitcoin option? Maybe they have a bug in their system? Or maybe they didn't properly launched Bitcoin rewards yet? I still have a hope that by the time I collect enough points to get my first TangoCard they would resolve the issues they have and I would be able to properly receive Bitcoin as a reward.

Not available in my country yet. Also, reading from the feedback for this new feature of Bing, it seems that it is not worth it to spend a ton of your time searching for anything you can think of by using a search engine that is way too slow and sometimes fails to return you the results you are expecting.

Well, I got the Tango card successfully. Went to the website, redeemed it no problem. Apparently you can't redeem it for bitcoin.   Angry
As you can see, Bitcoin is listed on the rewards catalog here, (https://www.tangocard.com/the-rewards-catalog/)
.
But when you redeem the code to your account, it seems to disappear.   Tongue

I looked, it's just not there to redeem as bitcoin. I think there's been a misunderstanding between rewards and shopping? I have no clue, but what a bummer.  Undecided

So will you still continue to use Bing even if bitcoin isn't really available in the rewards?

I've been using it for a while and like to redeem amazon codes and even rixty codes for a game of mine I play. I'll still use it, it's nice to get a small reward every now and then.

really nice, time to redeem some codes.

Satoshi is rolling in his grave. #bitcoin
I'm wondering if Google do the same thing like this, and how much rewards did I already earn now??? Cheesy

Unlinke Bing, Google is popular as it is; w/o the rewards, so giving such an option is not needed to them.

I've used Bing Rewards many times and it's extremely hard to build and keep up points. Considering I hated Bing as well, I would just randomly search terms to gain more points. In a months time, I earned around 5 "ish" dollars in which I used the search engine and completed bonus offers. I'd rather put time into a pay-per-post sig campaign.

This just proves that it's useless to try to earn from it, unless you use a bot so make the searches instead of you.
For 0,16 USD per day, it makes them look like a low paying faucet.  Roll Eyes

cheers
