there is a very popular russian project - online football manager with a simulator, there you can trade, buy players enter competitions etc. etc.
the engine itself can be leased or bought
just an idea
use chrome to autotranslate as I cannot find EN language option on site
here is the link if you are interested: http://11x11.ru/index.php
notice the total registered- >6.7 mil users and 20.000 active players!
update: just found they have a .com version with translation into several languages

I'm looking forward to develop a soccer manager, exclusively operating with cryptocurrency.
Do you guys think this is a good idea?
Any opinion is appreciated!

of course a good idea! an entire game with some cryptos sounds really cool!

until now no one has made games, soccer championship manager in bitcointalk,
will be interesting if the thread is made in bitcointalk prizes
easy and not complicated, without having to register on the website, listing at bitcointalk thread, and there should be a sponsor for the prize

Thanks everyone for your opinion.

I've done a little research, as it turns out you can't do almost anything with the actual names of the leagues and players.
Basically, we can't use them for any commercial purpose.
I was wondering if it would be OK to allow the user himself to set the names, this way the manager would take the "responsibity" upon himself rather then the application.
Of course, somewhere on the web, there would be ready-to-install packages of top teams (A), which a user could import to the application.

The scoring system would be different now. Real life performance of the player wouldn't affect the soccer manager game. The players/teams would "evolve" based on experience and success. Thus, every player could become as good as Ronaldo or Messi.

Exchanging players would be also more based on performance rather than the name. For example, you would sell a level 99 player for more than a level 5 player.

What do you think so far?

If you managed to develop this game as you desribed , I am sure it will achieve huge success , I looking forward to test this game when you release it , but I want to know , how would you perform selling and buying players , do we need to use real money or Bitcoin to buy players , like what happened in Pokemongo .

Thank you for your motivational opinion Hazir.

Well, yeah, something similar to Football Manager 2016, but not so big. We have to start small Smiley

Basically, my idea is that you could pick a team and manage it; buying/selling players, train players, upgrade stadiums etc, and of course play matches. All purchases of items/leagues/upgrades etc would be handled with i.e. Bitcoin.
There would be different leagues, and also prizes for the winners. But I'd like to keep it a game, not going towards gambling. Maybe small wagers between two players would be acceptable, but I'd rather not make it mandatory to put money so you can have a match.

As for the visualization, I'm not sure how the match would be displayed, but obviously not as advanced as FM2016 (don't have the capabilities yet).

I personally like this idea, I am a football fan myself, but I'm not sure how this would be received in the crypto-community.
I suggest creating new virtual currency dedicated to be used in this game ( not crypto currency ) , this virtual currency can be bought by Bitcoin , because in this case you can use the returns to pay the prizes for the winners , you also make profit for yourself from it , moreover , you can use these returns to improve the game and add more features .
You can benefit from Clash of Clans in this point .

You want to develop a game similar to Football Manger 2016? http://store.steampowered.com/app/378120/

Then this is amazing idea. I always wanted to play something like this. Imagine the possibilities when you could implement bitcoin economy directly to the game itself.
Instead of virtual game currency all your whole progress in game, transfers, purchases of players, stadium upgrades etc. could be fueled by bitcoin.

A very big dream requires a very large developer team. Support the idea!

A very good idea, but you have no concept of what the game is like a faucet that would be a waste of time without getting an adequate income.

I thought about concept of football manager some more and I encountered small obstacle. I am sure that you won't get license for using names of players, leagues, teams.
Are you planning to resolve this, will you create totally fake names for everything or maybe change it slightly to something like 'Limerpool United' or 'Juventas'?

such a good idea,if there's things like trading players or buy-sell players it'll be the same as trading which mean it's good for profit seekers but with more interesting innovation so at all it have a big chance to success, just keep in mind that every football managers can't buy the same characters such as C. Ronaldo or messi owned by so many club it'll looks silly to be honest

Sounds good, I d play that. However, I doubt you have resources for something like that.
me too. creating a game like this isn't a play of kid . lolzzz. you can think and imagine a lot but when you think to do you'll see how much hard it is.
the plan you have is really a good one. but you should prefer your self for invest a lot of money and do huge huge hard work for this.

I highlighted that because I find that idea really good. First is the use of Bitcoin for all the transactions in the game (if it will be implemented) and second is to keep the game with prizes and making deposits optional for the players. However, if you accept wagers, even if it's small, I think it's gambling already?

Any ideas on how you could make a profit? All ideas are appreciated Smiley

I have no experience with football manager or any similar game but i think that a market where users can buy, sell, trade players or any other items between each other is a good idea to monetize your game.

It is amazing idea , you know that this kind of games is very popular and you can find a lot of fans in this forum , because we have a lot of soccer fans here ( including me  Grin ) , and it will be better if we had a chance to make profit depending on our management skills .
I heard that developing these games required hard work and long time in order to fully release it , so good luck for you .

Thank you for your input.

This is an interesting Idea, however I am a bit worried that the people will stick to it. Honestly, I played Football Manager games only because of the super Teams, and the stars of course. I used to brag that I had Ronaldo playing for Bayern for example, and Ibrahimovic was on my Team. I think this might be a factor as well, having our Stars in the game. However, the idea to start small, I like that, and expand on demand. Thank you.
