Ahh,,this year ice hockey sucks..
Curling is a strange sport, but I love how much the athletes get into it, especially with the ice brooms or whatever you call them. Also, the Russian team pants are awesome.

Watched the curling match between Russia and Switzerland yesterday. Down to the wire. Amazing.

The opening was rather cool I think.
The opening ceremony was breath taking.
I agree. And to some failures during the Opening ceremony (most notably the snowflakes/rings stuff at the start), I think that nobody/nothing is perfect and there are always made some mistakes at celebrations of this kind... for example, who remembers in 2014 this "mystery woman scandal" from london olympics opening ceremony, and it happened just 2 years ago... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/29/indian-team-opening-ceremony-woman-olympics_n_1715733.html

Yup, rooting for Canada's women and men in the hockey games. It'll be Canada-USA in the finals for the women... The men should be interesting!

Russia is really swallowing their own foot with these games. From the human rights angle all the way to the fact that Sochi was nowhere near ready to accept athletes and media people alike... So much fail.
For some reason, I'm not even surprised. I mainly feel bad for the athletes who've trained all their lives only to share toilet stalls and sleep in mini single beds.

I see this a lot but I don't understand this line of reasoning. Olympic games are not about politics, they're about the best in the world competing in sports. Not to mention Western media will paint anything Russia does in a negative light. Do toilets affect the Olympic competition? Does the fact that some journalist posted a picture of his honey having a dead bee in it really matter? If things were really so bad, then why are all these athletes here, ready to compete?
Respect the athletes that train their whole lives to show us a good spectacle. Leave the politics out of it!
I respect the athletes and their performances immensely. Like I mentioned, I feel bad for the athletes especially because they deserve a much better experience than what they're getting out of the Sochi games.
As for Western media, you do have some valid points. They're clinging to Russia's failings quite a bit, but Russia definitely isn't helping itself.

I think the opening cerominy was okay considering it was all 2 d stuff from protecters and tbh the rings not opening was a pretty big fail 
I never watch these Winter Olympics but if sometime have luck then try to go inside stadium for this surely
