With the way Solana is performing wonderfully these days, i don't think it's a wise decision to avoid making an investment in this digital currency because if you take close to it's performance between the last two months, it has moved from $50 to close to $100 and there's still more possibilities that this coin is going to hit more high till it get to about $200+ before or after the halving next year.
It's highly possible and the rapid growth is the only factor which creates more questions like what if it has over achieved it's value and what if there is an correction phase once we make any investment. I hope you got my point because had it been Bitcoin I wouldn't have though this much as I am making monthly investment into Bitcoin because I know it can recover back the lost value in couple of years but that's not the case with any Altcoins.
I have set some targets a very complicated one like SOL has to cross a particular value and it should sustain above that for a period of time and couple of other conditions to enter into SOL once again as I don't want to follow the trend this time but rather take a calculated step.
that's the usual dilemma of most traders. as you don't know what will happen next, you are just relying on your instincts what to do with the current market. this is why don't put too much money here if you can't afford to do so. many are speculating that it will surpass ETH, but in my opinion that's a long way to go for SOL.
in this current phase, the price is shooting up like crazy and everybody wants to try to get a hold of this project. but think about it. up until when it will gain its traction, it can easily go down as well. but you can always put your money on the line and sell while you have positive profit. don't wait for the time that your money will be five fold or so, because it won't go to that level that fast because this network is not a hyped up project.
for now, weigh your options. if you have good amount of money to spend on a volatile market, why not? but if not, better be conservative with your estimates. your decision will depend also on when will you need such money that you will into this market.
