9*0.33 MH/s erupters are 2.97 GH/s that is NOT 3+ GH/s, rather 3- GH/s.

9 erupters will cost around BTC9, plus the fan and the hub for BTC3? For a device that never ROIs?

I am sorry I do not understand this joke.

you can mine sha256 altcoins and probably make roi. might have to compile a custom miner though.

Except there are only two sha256 altcoins right now that are slightly more profitable than actual bitcoin. To even think about being close to making ROI, these usb erupters should be selling for 0.5 BTC not the 1+ that most places have them at. Even at 0.5 BTC they'd be a risky investment with the way difficulty has increased lately.

Oh they "should" sell for 0.5 BTC.. Well damn, I guess we know then. Someone please tell ASICMINER to stop selling them for 0.95 ASAP! Wow, you must be super smart!

Prob because you are an idiot. I am just assuming that's the case, trying to educate buyers of a product you are obviously not interested in.

Entirely a ripoff. The contents of the package would weigh no more than 2 pounds... I sent a ~10 pound package to norway from USA and it only cost $63 + $7 for insurance

Sure, if you are willing to wait more than 10+ days for delivery, it can cost 0.7 btc. I quoted express as I assume people want to start mining ASAP, rather than lose 10 days of low difficulty mining. But what do you know.

FYI, I just shipped a BFL Little-SC internationally for ~$63...that was including insurance, and it was sent EXPRESS.

I know this off topic but just wanted to let you know that all of the links in your sig point to satoshi circle and show up as one link.

With a price like that there is really no difference whether you start mining now or in 10 days Smiley You never return investment anyway.

SHA-256 alternate cryptocurrencies

Alt coins using SHA-256, the same hashing algorithm as Bitcoin.

    NMC - Namecoin
    PPC - PPCoin (Peercoin)
    DVC - Devcoin
    TRC - Terracoin
    BTE - Bytecoin
    IXC - Ixcoin
    FRC - Freicoin

It is extremely easy to start mining with this package:

1) Set up pool account, I recommend BTC Guild: http://www.btcguild.com

2) Download and install bfgminer: http://bfgminer.org/

3) Plug USB Eruptors and a fan into USB hub provided, connect it to your computer and switch power on

4) Start mining with bfgminer:

Code:
bfgminer -o pool_url -u worker -p pass -S all

Happy ASIC mining!

great newbie writeup. thanks.
