Don't worry. I have it worse.

I'd been holding coins for over 2 years with very little movement...

I sold 100 April 30 and then my last 100 at the end of May, just days before the big rise started.

Normally I'd buy back in, but my money is tied up in mutual funds now.

The crazy thing is that I didn't even really want to sell. I just got an accepted offer on a house, though, and I need the cash to sit in an account for 90 days so I could get a mortgage.

So far, I figure I've missed out on about $60,000 just from the past two weeks of gains.

And there is nothing I can do but sit there and watch.  Cry

Ouch! My heart literally aches just hearing these stories. Really the horror stories you wouldn't wish happen to you. My sympathies to you both dear sirs.

Wow man! It was the worst moment to sell! But no worries, I read that at the moment when Bitcoin reaches $10 a lot of people sell it because think it is the top.
Im sure that in few years Bitcoin price will reach $10k so now as well is good moment to buy and earn Wink

Seriously? why would you sell such amount if you do know that there is halving fever that resulted into price increase. If this was true you lost a lot of money.

If you really had 100BTC you probably wouldn't say freely in the forum.
Even if this account doesn't share the same email or nickname.

I spent some a coupla weeks ago. Do I regret it? Well, I could've gotten more stuff with it but I'm happy enough. I think there's gonna be threads like this for as long as crypto exists.

If you had just waited a little more the Halving, the time that the price of Bitcoin rises.
You would have made money.

I will wait after the halving to sell my coins. But the price has to be really high for me to sell any coins.

That's really a very big amount. You have lost a big sum of profit just because you doesn't have the patience to hold till halving. If you had hold now you might have got double the profit.

You have my sympathy..Thanks to GOD that I didn't.

I am just accumulating more and more BTC just to make out big out of it in future. I am thinking long term and accordingly accumulating bitcoin as per my buying power.

I think I can turn few of my dreams in top reality in future with the power of bitcoin. Lets hope for the best.

Did you sell your coins for a loss? Then it's OK to regret but if not, why do you need to? Few months back, the price was about $400 and now what if the price would drop to $250 as it was in October 2015, would you be regretting still? I earned a profit when I sold my coins at even $350 and I don't regret it at all. Bitcoins and gold are similar where selling/buying doesn't matter as the price keeps fluctuating.

Yeah this is way you should not sell everything at once because there is always a chance that the price is going to go up later on the in the future. You now have missed the chance to make more money.

I think you have just help to re-distribute the bitcoin. Everyone has a price to their bitcoin. Once the price is reach, they part with their coins for fiat... and the coins got re-distributed. Hopeful we will soon see less and less people holding to >1000BTC (or even >100 BTC).

100 BTC is a huge amount (at least for me).

Why didn't you just sell a certain percentage of your coins instead of all at once?

If you sell your coins in small batches you always get to benefit from a higher going price.

Right now you are just left with a heavy feeling of disappointment.

Lol I sold ~0.12 a couple of weeks ago and I am already regretting it... I can't imagine if I sold more. But I can't understand why you did it if you knew that the halving will happen later this year and will drive the price up for sure? I was a little bit off the forum for some time, but this year I am watching very closely everything, just because of the halving. I assume you were in a need of the money and that's why you sold?
It is so wasting of money if you are making mistakes with Bitcoin and you have to know that it will be always more worth in the future and that would be really nice.
But of course you dont even know what is going to happen with the value of Bitcoin but that is just the risk that you should take.

That's unfortunate I'm sure you have urgent reason to sell it ,knowing that bitcoin halving is closer but it is not yet to late the price increase is just a start we will see more increase of price in the future..
