Congratulations on sale.

I have just received ANACS confirmation on my 0.5 S2 Silver grading.

It was graded MS-67 together with some other silvers. Offers are welcome, I will place separate add with Proof of life Soon.

wow so this is the 1st MS-67 S2 silver?

Guess it's first on public sale. Don't know if it is absolutely first.

how are you getting theses coins?  There are very nice

Not sure if you are talking about this particular coin or Casascius Coins in general.

This particular variety was a limited production version of his .5 BTC Silver coin.  Only 45 of these were made with the series 2 hologram sticker.  He produced about 885 of the .5 Silver coins with the Series 3 hologram sticker.  The coin in this listing has also be certified and graded by ANACS.  ANACS is a numismatic coin grading company that grades collectable coins on a scale of 1-70.  The highest known grade for Casascius coins to date has been MS67.

Casascius Coins
Produced by Mike Caldwell and he no longer produces the coins.  These were the first physical coins loaded with BTC and he started making and selling them in 2011.  He has since stopped production.

I'll call Sotheby's, we're all watching....hahaha.

Is anyone tracking the sales of the really rare coins (like this one)? It'd be nice to have some background as they come up but obviously it's not easy to track and follow.

Chainsaw's thread is the closest thing to what you're asking about. I generally try to post noteworthy sales there.

Because it's sterile...
That is an amazing looking coin. I am sure more of the power collectors will be along shortly.

Very nice coin! I am surprised others have yet to grade these rare coins...you currently have the highest graded one known!

It would fit nicely in your MS66 set!

I think if it was an MS-60, it'd still be the highest known grade Wink

I'm deliberately not grading mine (chain of custody, natch), but I'd be damn curious to know if any of my previous buyers have had theirs graded.

Where's Melbustus? He can add this coin to his list of Series-2 0.5s Smiley
