Coin arrived this morning, everything checked out, and I've PM'd for funds to be released from escrow.

Thanks everyone for a good transaction, and also having my back... Wink

Loose lips sink sigs!
Congrats on the sale at BTC5.20!

There's nearly 6,000 of this coins minted, 5100 still exist unredeemed. At these kind of prices there's a lot of people that could make a MINT on these sales. There's just barely more of the 2012 S2 and 2013 S2 versions unredeemed than there are of this error. With these kind of numbers it'll be interesting to see what the really scarce coins draw in sales prices over the next few years.

Wonderful news!
It would be a shame to let that 2011 account go to waste
Congrats on the sale!

Thanks.  I'm happy about it because I have more coins to sell, and it will be a lot easier with this account.

Well, odd, but since you posted it here also as well as the pm I'll take the chance.  I'd like to use OgNasty for escrow, and I can set that up today.  Post here if you agree and we'll finalize the transactions through PM's.

OgNasty works for me.  Let's proceed.

This is most unfortunate. I looked through Astro's history, unfortunately he did not post an bitcoin address anywhere, so it will be very difficult to prove who owns the account now that it is locked.
arkab can strengthen his identity by posting an image of this coin (which is unique in terms of ANACS serial and vanity prefix) next to a paper slip with his new username.
It would properly not be enough to have theymos restore the account, but at least it would provide you prof for future transactions.

Under these circumstances is escrow mandatory - TheAnalogKid is already on top things in regards to this.

Good luck to both of you.

I have a bitcoin address posted in my PMs back from 2011 and have signed a message to Theymos with it, so hopefully that will sufficiently prove my identity.

I will post an image to this thread just to give TheAnalogKid a little more peace of mind and to strengthen my case with Theymos.

If only he had a unique desk to post images from... Tongue  TheAnalogkid is on top of it using escrow though.

At least he didn't use a name like Astr0

This is Astro.  My account was locked after I attempted to change my password.  TheAnalogKid's offer is accepted.  PM sent.

A private bidder contacted me during the downtime and offered 5 BTC with escrow.  Any other offers?
If you're still entertaining bids, I'd go up to 5.2 with escrow.

Yeah, but the price was not public and part of a bundle... so one can only guess on how much.
Less than 5 BTC I presume.

not that long ago but i cant find it with no search but i swear i saw one go for 4.25 or so i could be wrong

Really? Smiley Maybe is it time to pick up an error coin soon, 4.25 is a bargin (imo).

5 btc is a solid offer i think the last one i saw sold for less

How long time since was that, if I may ask?

Its been a while since I seen once of these for sale.
Last recorded sale I recall was 7 BTC, 2014-07-09, when Otoh vacuumed up all MS66 error coins here on the forum.
But that is more than 1 1/2 year ago, so you can expect the market to have changed.

MONKEYNUTS
Thanks for this.  If it becomes an issue, or limits the selling price, I'll probably have to do just that.

Yes, exactly. It should not affect the price of this coin for more than the price of this service + the round trip shipping.

Reholder, $10 per coin.

By the way... Anyone can ask ANACS to reholder the slabs. Doesn't have to be the person who originally submitted it. I have done a couple due to damaged cases that I had bought already graded. One damaged in transit, 1 damaged by UK customs. Best to do it with other gradings to keep the costs down mind
