how about cash via fedex?

Physically shipping the cash to me via FedEx? That'd be OK.

If you recieve and cash a USPS money order at the post office, I don't see how that could be reversed. You have the cash in your hand?

I've heard that USPS will try to track you down and get the money back if the money order turns out to be fraudulent.

if you hold the check and it clears then it is no longer reversible.  I'm trying to avoid the fee too

My understanding is that checks are theoretically reversible for 60-120 days. Maybe it's not easy to get your bank to reverse the check after a few days, but it's still reversible.

That's what Dwolla told Tradehill.

Dwolla uses ACH transfers.

Checks, yes, but with money orders it's pretty hard once the money order has been paid.

Aren't wires still reversible?

No.

I've heard of this and told my credit union to hold a suspect check once to make sure it would clear and I wouldn't get charged for a bounce. YMMV
