Since the OP is probably running this project solo, there is no development nor marketing team involved. Even so, I agree that the new casino needs to increase its marketing and promotion efforts to attract players. One solution to this might be to use strong personality promoting the game. Why not try and contact some of the high profile players in order to provide them with free invites to the casino? This way, they will be a big asset to the marketing team and help increase the casino's awareness.

You are right that many sites starts with casinos only and then they add sportsbook. Running a casino is easier than sportsbook also developing casinos is easier than sportsbook. Bitsler started with only casinos and then added sportsbook but still they have a lot of feature unavailable though they are running it more than a year.

I think OP is quite an experienced user. According to the history of his posts, he has already sold one such casino on Bitcointalk this year. In my opinion, he does not care about promoting this casino, but about selling it. Probably no casino owner would be so ridicalous in promotin if he cared at least little bit.

If he is only concerned about selling his casino after he built it, maybe he does not have to promote the site but promote his offers by selling the site and if someone is interested in the site, he can show it later.
When he cares about his business, he will show his enthusiasm to people that he wants to make his business grow and have many customers and we will see how big his effort is to manage his site.
But @OP does not show that but probably, he is still busy with his site because we do not know what he does while not online here.

You are right, the way things are going, many sites have come out and anyway they are paying to make any type of publication in various forums, and this usually happens when this type of work is left to people who have no knowledge in the forums , their rules, what people like and what makes them trustworthy or not.

OP's case may be common that I am talking about, and the fact of not being online again may give an idea that what he did was by the mere order of the site project team, at least that is what I speculate until the moments.
