Looks like we missed each other last night.

Let me know if you are still interested. My local post office is open until 17:00 CDT.  They close for an hour for lunch from 12:30 CDT until 13:30 CDT.

It looks like the current rate is a little over $440.  Do you want to buy 2 for $880?  If so, PM your BTC Address and I'll get'em to you.

PM sent.

I still have 2 BTC available if anyone is interested.

I'd be interested.

I can purchase and mail the Money Order tomorrow morning.

Do you want to lock in the exchange rate now, or do you want to leave it float until tomorrow morning.

Either you send the BTC first, or we use escrow.

I'm willing to work with any of the top 5 escrow providers listed on this escrow list:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-bitcointalks-escrow-providers-ranking-blacklist-avoid-scam-276897

Is First Class postage sufficient, or do you require Priority Mail?

I'll pay the purchase cost of the Money Order and the First Class postage cost.  If you require Priority Mail or Express Mail, I'll take the postage costs out of the cash that you otherwise would have received.

Hi Danny.  Just saw your reply.  I'll keep checking to see when you're logged in and we can come to an agreement on the rate then.  First Class will be fine and yes, I'll send to you first.

There was a dispute about the escrow agent's expected role. This happened before the transaction, no money moved. An agreement has been reached.

Quote from: Escrow agent
I will not redeem the money order and then resend another, as it would be illegal for me to do so, and a very large waste of my time. Holding non fiat funds for two parties while their Peer to Peer transaction is taking place is not illegal, if I receive fiat funds and transmit them to the other party, I would then take the role as a money service business, and would require money transmission licensing.

I am not a lawyer, so I don't know what the legal requirements for an escrow agent are.  But, if what the escrow agent said above is true and escrow agents are required by law to have a license in order to handle fiat, then the solution is to find an escrow agent with a money transmission license if you want to use escrow.

Check with that Casio out  in alpine ( I can get the name if you want me too) I think they still cash them

As far as getting someone to cash it for you that will be an issue I have seen counterfeit postal money orders before

The name of the casino is Viejas, but I always redeem money orders at the post office.  They can look it up in their system as soon as you give it to them and will know if it's valid or not.

As a warning I think there's a dollar cap per money order so you might end up with 2 or 3 vs 1 money order

When I got one from campbx there couldn't cash it because it was 1st thing in the am but my bank didn't blink when I took it to them

I also think that Indian casino out toward alpine ( grew up in the area) will also cash them with a photo Id as well

Yeah, $1000 cap per money order, but they will sell multiple money orders at once.

I'm selling 2 BTC at the Bitstamp exchange rate.  Doesn't have to be one buyer, I'm willing to sell smaller amounts to multiple buyers.  Escrow welcome, as long as you're paying the fees.  If we use escrow, then I will send the BTC first.  Otherwise, you will be required to send your payment first and I will send the BTC after your money order is received.  For those located in Southern California, I'm also willing to accept cash in person at Pechanga Casino, where there is plenty of security.

Offer back on the table.  Selling 2 BTC at Bitstamp's rate.

Now may I ask the OP, will you accept a money order made out in your name?

Yes, escrow is just an option for those that are wary of getting scammed by me and prefer to use escrow for their own protection.  It's not something I require.

When you buy a Post Office Money Order, they ask for the person to receive's it's name, and the recipient will have to show ID to actually get the money, so an escrow agent couldn't cash it for you.

The person buying the bitcoins would be making the money order payable to the escrow agent, not the person selling the bitcoins.

Are you sure? I seem to recall getting USPS money orders where you wrote the payee's name in yourself? In that case you'd have to get a copy of the cashed money order somehow.

I had thought so, I read that from a variety of sources recently, when I was negotiating selling some of my own coins for USPS money order.
