if you are in it for the technology then your options are going to be limited to possibly 1 or at best 3 coins since the rest are either nonsense coins with pump and dumps or copy coins with pump and dumps.
if you are in it for the profit then the reasons don't change per year! the reason is always there and you would be fooling yourself if you think they change or focus on anything but monitoring when the pumps occur.
