Something has changed massively in the source tree.

The makefiles are no longer in the /src directroy. They are now in the /build directory.
But still it complains about trying to build from them...

Code:
bigfoot@ubuntu:~/solidcoin-102$ cd src
bigfoot@ubuntu:~/solidcoin-102/src$ make -f ../build/makefile.unix
make: Warning: File `../build/makefile.unix' has modification time 5e+04 s in the future
make: *** No rule to make target `../obj/gui/util.o', needed by `solidcoin'.  Stop.
bigfoot@ubuntu:~/solidcoin-102/src$ cd ..

bigfoot@ubuntu:~/solidcoin-102$ cd build/
bigfoot@ubuntu:~/solidcoin-102/build$ make -f makefile.unix
make: Warning: File `makefile.unix' has modification time 5e+04 s in the future
make: *** No rule to make target `../obj/gui/util.o', needed by `solidcoin'.  Stop.

Has anyone gotten this release to compile?

Source is uploaded.
I like what you're doing but shall not jump to solidcoin. Only reason is that its currency sign is very similar to dollar sign.
I like the development of mexico but shall not jump to pesos. Only reason is that its currency sign looks the same as dollar sign.

Mac binary is up. Hope to have linux binaries with GUI this time! Hopefully not too much longer.

I have a linux binary built at http://www.wuala.com/jbw9/pub/Bitcoin/solidcoin/102b4/solidcoin-102b4-linux-i386.bz2/ for now.

Good job with all the updates  Smiley

1 Question : how do I mine SolidCoins? I have GUIminer and an account with a pool but can't connect the dots  Undecided

Thanks!
http://scpool.bitparking.com/pool
http://sobtc.digbtc.net
http://sc.btcguild.com

Still don't understand. I have downloaded phoenix miner... do I need to change the .exe parameters before launching or something  Huh

First cool on the solidcoin updates, coinhunter.. keep them coming

second.. jack, you should be asking this in the guiminer forum or the digbtc forum.

anyways.. select other for site put sobtc.digbtc.net in the host box, make sure port is 8332.. put your worker user name in the username box and the pass in the pass.. make sure device is set to the thing that doesnt look like your cpu. click start mining

if still errors like that http transport.. i would ask in the guiminer forum.. this has not much to do with solidcoins.. once you can mine one coin you can mine them all.

I'll post some articles on this on the site soon, I get asked this a lot. But basically you create an account (or use your SC address) as the details.

In GUIMIner you need to go to "other" as the pool, and make sure the port and address is correct as well.

Ok, so do i put "sobtc.digbtc.net" as the "Host"? I see no address option. When I start mining I get the following error:

AttributeError: 'HttpTransport' object has no attribute 'failure'

EDIT: Ok i think i got it, have to do File -> New Miner -> phenix.exe and then do this? Just says "Connecting..." then:

FATAL kernel error: Failed to apply BFI_INT patch to kernel! Is BFI_INT supported on this hardware?  Huh

SolidCoin is a peer-to-peer crypto currency based off Bitcoin, with the aim of providing a superior alternative when it comes to network stability, speed of transactions and security. Our aim is also to provide better tools to help businesses and users around the world embrace the SolidCoin currency with much less pain and security troubles compared to Bitcoin.

Download SolidCoin 1.02 Here

Currently only Windows binaries and Source Code are provided as we work through some build issues on Linux and MacOSX. Source will also be provided on github in a few hours. Keep an eye on the thread for updates.
