so it seems these guys hard coded the username and password into the client..

ThreadRPCServer incorrect password attempt from ::ffff:192.168.1.205

this is what the log says.

the username HAS to be your wallet ID
i dunno what the password is.

wallet ID mean one of the wallet address and password will be the unlocking password which we use to encrypt wallet?

yes and no.
the password is whatever they put in the client.. i dunno what it is.. i wont be your wallet password. its not x or 123 or what you set by rpc

and also make sure you tune your firewall to allow the addresses and ports on your *.conf file .

yeah its still not working and showing up dead in antminer pool.
i took recent launch of SHA based Cerium coin as example

Cerium.conf
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=1234
rpcport=45454
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

Antminer S1
Pool = 192.168.1.102:45454
pool worker = user
pool passweod= 1234

Result:

stratum+tcp://192.168.1.102:45454
user
Dead

after beeping for a while antminer S1 goes to the backup pool in configuration. both miner and computer are connected with the same router and firwall didnt alarm any conection.

just use
192.168.1.102:45454

or you may even need http://HTTP://192.168.1.102:45454

not stratum+tpc you are solo mining.

no same thing switched to backup pool after beeping

plus also this IP needs to be the computer running the wallet.. NOT your miner ip.

are there even any sha256 altcoins worth anything?

well that is not part of our discussion atm Smiley

lol if you dont know what coin to mine how do you setup a wallet?

dude i mentioned ninja launches so i dont know about their names yet since they havent been announced by respective dev Wink some previously launched coins are GotFomo etc.. i gues this wasnt ninja launched but any coin in a similar capaicity
ninja launch has very less diff level so wondering how to set AntS1 to get dew blocks before coin gets any pool

when that coin is launched.. you download the wallet.. then you go into the config and put

rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
then you put

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=1234
rpcport= this changes by coin to coin
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

now just point your miner the s1 to the IP of your computer that has the wallet on it..  192.168.1.?

that is what exactly im doing now wondering recently i installed custom cgminer to get nonce subscription. does that update is causing miner to connect with wallet?
