use this if viabtc is beyond limit https://www.antpool.com/user/prioritiseTransaction.htm?m=savePrioritiseTx

but if you are against antpool point of view, better to wait until the submission limit is done

I made a bitcoin transaction on the 2017-05-21 00:15:59 today is the 2017-06-12 8:26:34 that is 3 weeks (21days) yet the transaction is still unconfirmed and the bitcoins have not yet been returned to my wallet as others will suspect so am considering the bitcoins in the transaction stuck..

i have scared through the net for about 2 days now looking for solutions. i found soo many none of which could work in my case.

the first solution i saw was to use viabtc.com. which is a website that facilitates bitcoin transactions. but i when tried using them they said my transaction fee was too low.. Yes i blame my self on this because i intentionally set the transaction fee too low. this was because my transaction fee were getting alarming as i was receiving multiply small bitcoin payments which increased my number of inputs per transaction when i want to send btc. and since btc transaction fees are calculated based on inputs and outputs and not amount of bitcoin sent, my transaction fee had to increase. i paid equal amount of fee as the amount i wanted to send in  a particular transaction this is the hash of the transactions where i spent the same on transaction fee as the amount i wanted to send
f09a4f8165e622424cae9b2b0fbcb231688ec308336ab41dec2668f75181750b you can verify

it got so worse that i was to pay a transaction fee which was much higher than the amount of btc i wanted to send. so i ignored the warnings of bockchain.info wallet and went ahead and specified a small transaction fee.. here is the hash of the unconfirmed  transaction
41e96bf8db40818393ed3704a0de7dab97c5955f341644608a41e85a8007c3e5 you can

The second method i tried was the double spending method which i learned from bitzuma.com following the link below
http://bitzuma.com/posts/how-to-clear-a-stuck-bitcoin-transaction/
you can know more about this method by visiting the link above or this link
http://bitcoin-development.narkive.com/NgSiQBmM/bitcoin-development-first-seen-safe-replace-by-fee
it is simple a path which some nodes on the network accept. they replace an old unconfirmed transactions with a new one following some particular criteria in an attempt to to allow people to increase transaction fee in the new transaction so that their transactions can be confirmed.
after following the lectures i discovered that it were only possible when a single btc address sends send coins (that was the only example i saw)
and i am using a third party blockchain, info which provide different addresses per transaction so for this single transaction i acctually used 7 different wallets so using the double spending method is quite challenging
i have tried a host of others i have seen paid options but i do not trust them
i hope i will get help  here
thanks in advance

Tried using multiple methods to solve this annoying problem, my issue was that with blockchain.info as the wallet, they will keep rebroadcasting the transaction infinitely so even waiting for it to be forgotten wasn't an option.
Tried uploading to multibit and then deleting and re-sending it, that did not work as everytime I opened the wallet after changing, it was corrupted.. ended up being pushed after 4 days.
Trying to download bitcoin core for the future, if I need to I can just delete the TX's.

There are always many suggestions once a TX has been sent, from double spending to other services.  Basically, once it has been sent, the best course is to wait.  If you have used a service or site, make sure that you have been given the TXID, otherwise the TX may not have been sent yet.

First, use a wallet where you can control the fees, we have a software wallet for that purpose, I think Electrum.  That cannot always be done, and funds from an exchange can get delayed in various ways, from security holds, verification emails and SMS, and finally a small fee being used by the exchange.

I'm looking for free spin.
In case you didn't read his post he can't use viabtc because fee is too low!

OP i can only suggest you to send PM to this guy https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/free-speed-up-btc-unconfirmed-transaction-to-confirmed-1946761 he is speeding up transactions.

I didnt tell to use Via BTC... Via BTC is not accepting anything now
I had mining contract there  and only then they allow people to submit txn

I said another method CPFP
Viabtc has time interval better to send your bitcoin every 1 hour try to send again. To be able to sent you should send after one exact 1 hour not above sample its 02:45 pm wait for 15 minutes and exact 3 pm send your txid. im sure your txid will be sent just follow the forum time..
This is just base in my experience but just send every 1 hour. .or i'll try to send it for you soon this coming 3 pm..

Updated: When sending your TXID looks like the fee is too low.. that is why you can sent them..  how about this one https://pushtx.btc.com/#/
But they are asking for the fee.

First time I had stuck transaction O was in terrible panic and thought I would loose my funds with no return. Then I found out about viabtc that solved my problem. The only thing is that is hard to upload your transaction ID because of high volume of requests to them so you have to be quick and punctual. But viabtc is my solution, it works every time.

The known solutions for this are simple, stop rebroadcasting the TX and if the wallet is automatically doing that, close it. That should make the TX disappear in few days when the nodes reset, and you will have the balance again to spend this time with better fees.
Electrum allow the user to resend with better fee to the same address, not a double spend but a higher fee TX, it's a built feature in Electrum.
if you use core or armory, using a double spend can work in some cases, and hence sending a higher fee TX.

Wait for the coins to get back to your wallet when the transaction is dropped from the blockchain network. They send the coins with a fee of 0.003-0.005 and it should get confirmed within 2-3 days. That's the only option left as paid accelerators charge a fee which can be even more expensive for you since your tx size is 16276 bytes which is huge and viabtc is not accepting transactions as of now.

Kindly don't accept small transactions that increase the transaction size when you spend them and you end up paying a huge fee while spending the coins.

the problem is this txn is rebroadcast many times as he is connected to network

now either he confirms it or it will keep in limbo for many more days

ideally for this txn, he must have used: 16276 * 390 = .06347640 for confirmation within 30 minutes
high txn as there is to much inputs

The transaction would be dropped within 1-2 months and it doesn't stay in limbo for years. The same happened with me once where even I added a 6 sats/byte fee.

Anyways, he has already got his transaction confirmed by paying 0.01477746 BTC as fee which was really huge for a transaction worth 0.02977738 BTC. Next time you can try with 50 sats/byte as even then your transaction does get confirmed within few hours.

This is why:

1. dont use third party wallet

2. use a small change adress which you control

This txn is not a lot of money, so lesson is learnt  Smiley

In future, use good fees, and use a change address that you own that atleast has 0.01 in change, so that even if it gets stuck somehow, you can use CPFP

I am wondering, how much did you send? The suggested fee was .0001 and for me that is not that bad. You said that you don't need to pay a fee more than the bitcoin you have sent, which I think is pretty small too. This is why we just need to follow the suggested fee for a transaction, we don't need to experience this, just take these as a lesson learned.

You do have a point, but this is just normal, this stuck transactions is always happening when there are too many transactions in the blockchain. We could just wait till this transaction of ours get confirmed because if this will just stuck on it forever, then we can't do anything about it, unless we are going to contact the support of a certain wallet that you have use or whatever it is just to send coins.

Then if their support can't reverse the transaction so that you could get back your bitcoin, then all you can do is to accept it that you just lost your bitcoin and move on, and think that you could get it back because you could earn more.

During periods of congestion it's wise to use RBF.

Since its too late you need to shutdown the suspect wallet. Turn off your internet. Launch the wallet and delete the suspect transaction. Create a new transaction with a higher fee and save it. Shutdown the wallet. Wait 36 hours and then broadcast the transaction. You have now double-spent the old transaction out of the system and the new one will be mined.

i am using a third a party wallet from blockchain.org and for this single transaction they used 7 wallet addresses  to send the bitcoins. so it will get a little exciting to do what you are suggesting for the following reasons.
1.) its a third party account shutting  it down is another issue
2.) they used upto 7 wallet to make the payments so doing the double spending is a little complicated

The average bitcoin transaction as of today is 0.005 USD/per bytes as i remembered and it is not suitable for low transactions cause it will only ger stuck like yours, if you have sent a small amount of transactions you could have atleast send 0.001 so the blockchain network will not have a hard time confirming it. And another thing is that th cost doesn't calculate on how much you have sent but actually it the size of the data that is being sent. If a bitcoin scaling solution and lightning network gets implemented all this delays will be and it will also fix the malleability that bitcoin that has been having in many years.

These days you can see more transactions getting stuck to the network. This is entirely the common thing that happens when price increase takes place. A perfect solution can be got only when the blocksize issue comes to an conclusion, rather than which using the transaction accelerator similar to viabtc is the only go.

Id suggest you to run the transaction through viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ you just have to do it at a round number like 10:00pm, 11:00pm, etc... It helped me, it helped my friend and a few more people. Good luck.

accelataroer doesnt work now
it is paid, some ppl charge money for it now for large txns

Ok.....

Fee per byte   6.144 sat/B

Which miner will take this ??

Now tell me, do U have access to 1GQFALjXF4byPWarUqQX6GynR1SMfW6Rpv ?

If yes, then send from that address to another address which U control, and add 0.0040 as fee. Manually.

This is called Child Pays For Parent

Now some miner will clear both 4 u...

Otherwise it is very tough to get it cleared now Sad

Any question, pm me = )

no that address is owned by an online merchant i do not have control over it

RBF depends on where he sent it from

If it is electrum, he has to enable it...

or edit the raw txn create a new one from coinb.in... bit complex for the amount involved

so safest IMP is cpfp, if he has control of wallet I said earlier

sorry no miner will accept 0.0001 fee now... they are rejecting even 0.0004 nowdays

to get correct fee: go to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

and use : the fee given below:
for example:

For the median transaction size of 226 bytes, this results in a fee of 88,140 satoshis.

so he should put the fee as 0.00088140
