So far no evidence of any kind has been presented. You can blame someone or a company, but make sure you substantiate this with evidence. Text alone is too easy.
Post screenshots, conversations, or other forms of evidence to support your judgment. If you do not have these, then I do not see the purpose of accuse somebody.

Writing a message directly to Cloudbet will be a lot easier I think, I did expect a response from cloudbet on the forum here I must say, they may still respond of course, but direct contact with cloudbet from the on a lot easier and that way also be solved faster.
the OP said, "Your account has been locked until our player safety team has verified your account." and he said he already sent identification to the best of his abilities" so OP is already in contact with cloud bet and are now just waiting for replies from them. but OP still not providing evidence(at least a screenshot, email or transaction id) even though he was online earlier is starting to make me feel that this is just another frame attempt. I'm not certainly sure OP is actually doing it but I've seen a lot of thor away account trying to frame a gambling site with nonsense complaints.

I also think it is quite normal for them to perform such checks. They are probably also required from a legal point of view. Cloudbet is a long reputable site.
We could wait for the op to respond here in this topic, but if you already know that you have used a VPN, you will understand that they are now figuring this out.
I am also thinking that OP have used VPN and only he/she can confirm this. This issue can be solved through proper verification process and i hope he will follow the process.

For faster solution i will suggest OP to contact cloudbet through their forum account.

after years of being a cloudbet customer, this is the first time i've been asked to show id for a withdrawal request, which they still haven't processed and instead, locked my account.

even after providing my identification to the *best of my current ability, i'm still unable to log in to my account.

I don't have immediate access to a current utility bill because i am stuck on extended vacation due to covid-19 travel restrictions making it difficult to return home.
Is this the only session you played at Cloudbet?

If it is, then consider this possibility:

Cloudbet notices you are playing at a different location from your typical conditions, which is a red flag. They proceed to attempt to verify the account, to which you can only present the proof of identity but not proof of residence - this could be fraud and therefore they await further evidence.

any update? you know you can contact their representative here and might get more information regarding the progress of your case. they have an ANN here in the forum Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site. but lately, the representative isn't online for several days but wouldn't hurt contacting him. and you should really put valid evidence if you want the community to back you up in case cloudbet is in the wrong.

To be honest, I don't see the problem right away. They want to perform a KYC check, and it takes a while. It is not surprising that they close your account(temporarily).
It's only just been 24 hours ago that this happened. You have to give Cloudbet some time to sort this out.
I think you judge way to fast and should just be patient before jumping to conclusions.

Solved - Cloudbet pending withdrawal took 7 days to process and complete.

I am very positive this issue would not have been resolved in such an upstanding manner, or perhaps never at all, if it weren’t thanks to Paul’s direct involvement.

We communicated through Askgamblers. If anyone else is having issues receiving their funds due to cloudbet’s delayed processing of larger transactions, I recommend you to try opening a complaint on askgamblers. It seems that cloudbet is very responsive to complaints opened on that website.

Thanks again, Paul.
And please don’t forget to dm me your personal address for whatever crypto is most convenient for you. I would love to pay my respect and appreciation for your infinitely helpful involvement.
