Thanks for sharing, I am a brand new member and I have been on the lookout for a post just like this. Heard the forum is very strict, don't wanna go against the rules.
This post isn't detailed enough to keep you out of trouble on the forum,you should instead look for forum sticky threads to keep youself abreast with forum rules and regulations,try reading sticky threads in the beginners and help section as well as the meta section,they would definitely help you more than this thread will,thats not to say this topic isn't helpful

Most of those who are isloated from forum updates and latest changes do not look out for them, or visit boards directly concerned with the running of the forum like Meta and beginners and help.
And some could miss it due to oversight or their being inactive. You could provide a very well detailed compilation, cause a lot has really been going on. Nice effort by the way.

Also read the bitcointalk rules and more because of the changes made. We all know it's for the forum and for the forum users and to fix bugs and errors if there's any of it. You can find the bitciontalk rules in meta and more important topic needed for newbies like you to learn.

Yep, one of those posts you should read to avoid being caught on the wrong side is;
Newbies - Read before posting

There is a lot of helpful information around the forum, if something is bothering you, you can either make full use of the search button and search about certain threads where the issue was discussed using keywords or Just simply as in the Help and Beginner's board.
If the question involves issues with Bitcoin Core, nodes, the Bitcoin network, transactions, and addresses, the Bitcoin Technical Support Board will be your friend.

I do feel that an opt-in profile email notification may be an interesting feature which the forum could do with, in order to notify important announcements. I mean we do get the chance to receive notifications for additions to threads we post in, but not for important features such as change in rules, DT structure, and so on.
This would really be excellent, especially for certain members who could be away from the forum for long periods of time. This would help keep them updated if they frequently check email. Imagine coming back to the forum with no knowledge of the changes only to be hit with surprises.

For those that are on the forum often enough, and specifically visit the Meta board, finding out and even participating in the forum’s latest developments is pretty easy. I do figure though that the main core of people do not visit Meta and therefore do not easily encounter these new developments until they happen to stumble upon them.
The above referenced thread by @FatBen( Forum innovations in the last 12 months) is a decent thread created recently that summarizes them, although you have to read through the whole thread.

I know you tried to be helpful, but I think it's not enough just to drop few links without any explanation. You can follow suggestion by @Harkorede or just write few words before each link - Default Trust changes, Grin accepted as payment method and etc.
Another important thing that would be good to mention - Account recoveries are moving again - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/account-recoveries-are-moving-again-5089781
If someone have Bitcointalk account hacked, he have chance to recover it. I think not enough users know about it.

Maybe you included it by mistake.

You can actually make those links more explanatory by adding a title to those links either after each link or using link function

Code:
[url=InsertLinkHere]Insert Title Here[/url]

If any user has been frequent an active on the forum most of this development would not be new to them.
But the forum is constantly getting interest from individuals and some of which are signing up so I know this would be a step in aiding your understanding of the forum.

The forum has seen some changes over some weeks
Here I have made some references to the changes or development that had occurred
