The new coin is always a risk, we should always choose the old coin which has completed their product, old coins will have higher chances to increase their price along with the Bitcoin price. If we are looking for long term investment, we should leave them until we make some decent profit. Choosing wise coins will always help us to learn new fundamental analysis about the coins.

New coins are the biggest risk and the biggest potential profit.

It's almost like a bet with high quota. You just don't invest a lot in it but even a small investment could give you big profits. And you won't lose much if it fails.

People who have some extra amount an ready to take an aggressive risk can invest in the new project or much lesser known coins and if think can make it big in come say 3-5 years or so then yes probably can stay invested or once they achieve some profit can also exit. for long-term investment in new coins seems too big a risk to be faced. planning duration for new project investments that have good development for at least 1-3 years. after that, what happened was the weakening of their markets. some new projects do not have strong support when the market is down.

fort choosing well-established coins, but I say pay attention on some undervalued projects with great potential.
I have more than 10 coins under a dollar, nothing big, but I have them and when I can I add more. Little by little I invest in
projects I believe in long-term, not for next month or year, I plan to hold minimum 5 years!

for people who are experienced in choosing safe projects or investments, of course choosing a project that has long been in the market and is proven to have a large market is a good choice. but there are rarely investors who like investing in new projects in the market with a lot of planning. like gambling, but when we are lucky we can get a project that will provide greater benefits than the old project that only relies on the movement of the bitcoin market.

When looking at long term investment you should try to stick with alts that are already doing well and staying in top 50. Anything else you will be increasing your risk but also increasing your risk to reward ratio. It depends on what your goal is what you consider long term investment. For someone long term could mean a year but for others it could mean five years. Are you able to hold your coin for years or do you just want to hold for less than one year?

Most of the time when bitcoin make a huge rally it creates huge rise to alts market, those who have big numbers of supporters are the one who really enjoying the run, who'll forget what happened last time, the last time ath of btc also brings good value to tops alts and some of those coins who also been hyped due to bitcoin bull run.

As you above mentioned there are a lot of coins to invest in the long term. However if you can find good projects, l mean it is just hard to predict, which coin can bring you good profit in the future. For because of that l always prefer to invest in top altcoins, which l think they are more profitable among other altcoins. ETH is a really good choice for long-term investing.

Ideally the amount should be divided in such a way that it can cover your long and shorth term gaols. Also it should be diversified in such way that you can invest in few very good coins and does not have to be depending on single coin.

for investment, of course, we must divide it into several assets. especially for long-term investments and some for the short term. only focusing on one asset might be good, but when an investment fails or doesn't meet expectations it can make our investment not profitable.

But more than that it would be better if you added some top altcoins like ETH, BNB to your list. l think you can also make a good profit from this investment in the future. In my mind, we should also consider new projects, but we must be more careful. That is why most of them are really a fraud and useless.

John McAfee has come with a new coin called Ghost. Which seems to be pretty interesting for the investment. They have held it's mainnet event on the 22nd June of the current month. The coin has huge potential due to its unique features. Also they are working on esim, currently, it's on beta version and sooner they will launch it. So I thought ghost would be a better option for long-run investment.
