Define racist. I went to the faucet mentioned in the OP but I do not see any racist content in the website mentioned.
The reward might be less for your friends because they might be from the third world countries and most of the ad network pay less for impressions/click/etc from the third world countries. That is why the reward might be less for most of the user from the third world countries.

/thread

Jeez, OP is talking about how people get wildly different rates in different countries, he's not complaining about faucets being low-paying.

The OP thread title is some faucet website are racist

And he get its wrong with that title.

If I earned a dollar from faucets its not much that you can buy with that (for me) but in the Philippines it is quite a lot of money they can do a lot with it.

Hence the rates for different countries, so in answer to the OP who has his title wrong, its equal to everyone.

I can see why it would be irritating for a user, I can also see why advertisers would do it. If I was the OP I'd be signing up for a sig campaign. Way more money and there's not a sniff of discrimination anywhere.

Yes, try other ways to earn bitcoin if faucets are not beneficial for you.  There are a lot of other methods to earn online bitcoins. Out of which signature campaign is more advantageous with no any difference of payment regarding your country.

and if that is not enough  some website looks racist
when i leave my place   moonbitcoin if i remember was more than 200sat /5min
and here is Philippines  it s 15 sat /5 min  ??  Huh  Roll Eyes seriously ?

same for bitcoin zebra  if i remember it was 500 - 1000 -3000
here it is 10 - 200 - 3000    10sat ? is this a sort of joke?

Maybe its time you guys move on from faucets, they're literally a waste of time.

And in their defense, running a faucet is not easy, they barely make enough to run the faucet and they're being targeted by bots which means most of the faucet amount they pay comes from their own pocket.

For someone in a third world country this can get them in the game with Bitcoin.  Its free so why not.  Some people in third world countries make $1 a day and it is totally possible to at least do .50 cents a day...that is a job  Smiley  I used to think they were a waste too until I open my mind to think about those that live on so little in other countries.  This is one of the reasons Bitcoin is so cool...it is universal and can reach everyone.

True, but even then they can do better.

Faucets are really minimal, a sig campaign earns 100 times the income per post.

But, as you said, it is nice side income or even a full job for some.

twister, if that was true, not a lot of them would still be around. Look at Freebitco.in as an example. It's domain was created On:10-Oct-2013 and it is

still going strong. Yes, some of these faucets have a poor business model and design and they are poorly operated and then the failure rate will be

high. A faucet should not just rely on advertisement income, because it can be shut down at any moment. {Look what Google AdSense did these last

couple of weeks} To sustain the income, they should expand the services being offered on the site to include entertainment and gambling features to

cross subsidize the income for the faucet.

you can't compare a faucet like Freebitco.in with all the other simple faucets out there. Freebitco.in is old and popular. besides it is not just a faucet, they have added a lot of new and interesting features over the years to their website.
like the multiply your bircoin section which is practically a dice website on its own.
and with lotteries becoming popular they added a lottery section too.

all that said i still say that no faucet is worth the time spent.

Well, the ad company have it's own payment for the nation that saw the ads.

The wealthier the nation, the higher the payments.

After seeing that comment I would suggest you to work hard for the development of your country. So, that you move out from third world countries list. After that there will be a demand of advertising for your country also and so will also be able to claim a high amount.

you should have learned by now that faucets are not worth your time, it doesn't matter where in the world you live. 100-1000 satoshi per visit and filling captcha is not worth your precious time. there is always a lot of other stuff you can do and earn more money that way.

I agree. Especially this filling out of captcha is very time consuming. It if would be done with 2 clicks fine, but it's much more than that. I think also that most of the faucets have problems with paying since last week, because google adds somehow wiped them out. At least Bonusbitcoin.co for example has no payout any more...

Not only faucet website most of the GPT and PTC, Survey site are also racist from so many years. There are more advertisers looking for tier 1 country visitor and also value of $ is low in those countries so they have to pay enough to attract visitors. Nothing can be done regarding this, try your luck with vps and vpn. Grin

You are right, these faucets are not the racist but actually it is because of the payment paid to them by the ad networks. They pay low for showing ads to third world countries or we can say to the countries who are too younger with respect to development.

I think they are not like that as you say they pay the same all over the world. The faucets have set the amount to claim the same for all of its users. It is not such easy to set a number of different amount for a number of countries.  They may pay according to the profit from the specific country.

I think it also has to do with the numbers, because these advertisers knows a country like the Philippines will have a much higher poverty rate than say Finland and these countries will have loads more users using these faucets for income, and that does not necessarily translate to sales.

The irony for me is, these poor countries actually need the higher payouts, seeing that faucets are there to help people to get hold of bitcoins. The world is so upside down, it's sad.

i think that it is a bad thing that they give different amounts of money to the people from different countries they surely dont add up to their reputation by doing so in my opinion everyone should get the same amount

They only show ads for products that are available in the person's country. Futhermore, they know statistically how many people who click on the ads eventually buy something. That way they can set price for the ads and the clicks/impressions. It follows that prices in different countries would be different because in some places the ads simply don't convert to actual customers as well as in other places. Look at it with the tables turned - if you were buying an ad to sell your product would you pay a premium to have it shown in a third world country?

I didn't know about that, similar to what happens to content usually in Youtube or similar sites that are only allowed certain content in one location, region or country. I think you could bypass that by using a VPN but to be honest, you should bypassing it altogether by staying away from faucets, they are a waste of time really.
