Listen....... and you will hear the great and unsurpassed Freddie Mercury and you will hear the voices of eighty-two thousand people singing with him recklessly. At the London stadium "Wembley" performing one of the greatest hits of the 20th century, " Bohemian Rhapsody»
The sun is in a hurry to go beyond the horizon, covering thousands of people from the arena with soft, scarlet colors.....Freddie, sitting at keyboards, tighten:
Too late, my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all the time.
Goodbye, ev'rybody, I've got to go,
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth.
Mama, ooh, I don't want to die,
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all.
On July 13 of 1985 year there were international charity music festival Live Aid which was organized to help the victims of the terrible famine in Ethiopia in 1984.
Queen's performance on Live Aid that year was named the greatest live performance of all time. It is difficult to imagine that could have been otherwise.
"We Are The Champions" on Live Aid was really Freddy's hour of fame.He knew a lot of them, this one would have been really special.
Portrait of Freddie Mercury was the first in my series of paintings "Public People".
Freddie was a bright, fiery personality aand I set a goal for me that should be obliged to display all this on canvas.
I intentionally did not want to take for my work some staged photography, so I began to explore the live performances and interviews of the Queen band. A week later, watching the concert "Live AiD", I was able to find the right moment for me picture and I began to work. Of course, I could not do this portreit without symbolism, and I laid to the picture number of semantic elements. I won't decipher them yet. I'll give you a chance to think about it.
Am I satisfied with the result? I hope you'll answer "YES" for that question! The portrait turned out to be 100%.
