In our country, they even become the subject in the news that there are people who continue their gambling instead of implementing social distancing and even told that they should stay inside their home. But I guess, all this reminder was set aside because they only follow what they want.

in my country people are playing online, as we are a poor country and the government controls most businesses so it is easy for the government to close casinos and everything related to offline gambling

Obvious yes, they (the addicted gamblers) can't just help it especially as the lockdown would also means other activities will be on shutdown. The disturbing true is that, majority of them are usually youths in their early 18-25 years. Some do it intentionally without even been addicts while we also have those that would had love to stop but because, gambling has become a part of them and it might also be the source of their income, but they can't resist the urge to gamble in this sport events.

In every country, we'll also find those that'll go against what the don'ts of the government of the day are either as a means of protesting or just disobedience. But since our discussion is focused on the addicts, I think it's just something they can control and assuming sport event were still ongoing as normal, the rate at which the gambling industry would had received patronage would had skyrocket probably due to the mouthwatering offers the sport books will be using as a marketing mechanism.

They are willing to take the risk even in this lockdown and I do hope that the authorities are going to put them in jail to teach them a lesson.

The bad side also is that these gamblers might be using the money for their family's food. And when they will lose, no food on the table. Really unfortunate for his family. I have nothing against gambling as long as the gambler is responsible about his actions, but if he's already hurting his family because of this, I think it's time for the gambler to contemplate his situation.

Most countries have legalized gambling in one form or other. There are many bad habits people indulge themselves in. While the negative effect of gambling are mainly financial, a responsible gambler would do it in a way to entertain himself while not taking any financial risk he can't afford.
In my country there are no open real life casinos so all people do is gamble online.

There are a lot of things that should be prioritized and not gambling, you can play video games, you can entertain yourself without even spending a money. I know the this quarantine is really boring but spending your money in gambling isn't the best decision to make yourself busy. There are household chores that you need to do instead of wasting money, gambling is very risky and most of the people know that. Those casinos should give some help and donations to those people who are really needy so that people will recognize them and will increase their reputation for more customers to visit them after this pandemic. Government is not that sufficient when it comes to giving people what they need because they have other things to prioritize.

Of course, if you ask these people why they have just blown their amelioration while gambling, they will typically neglect to mention this addiction—since many aren't even aware they are addicted.

It's similar to when the wine shops were re-opened when India eased restrictions in some areas. Then you see lines a kilometer long of people wanting to get wine... Ask any of these people why they're willing to wait several hours just to buy some wine, and you'll hear a huge number of excuses but probably none of them will be "I'm an alcoholic."

The government targeting poor people, someone who got the covid-19, unemployed people and other people who cant really supporting their life during the crisis. I believe before the government giving some donation to the people, they will make a survey regarding each person who receives the donation. Yeah we all know, government also give some money but most of the donation will be a product like food or other stuff that can be consumed each day money only a certain percentage from the total estimation donation with food and other stuff.

And, a person already out of food a person cannot buying anything he will not really be stupid using the money for gambling activity.

That is really irritating, here in our local area who also received the money from the government, they also used the money to gamble. Aside from using the money in the wrong way, it seems like they don't want this pandemic to be over because they all want to be outside of their houses just to gamble. You can see that they are really enjoying receiving the money from the government, they enjoy the support money because it is free and they don't need to work for it.

That really makes me frustrated, I can't fathom what the government feels like but this kind of events makes me sad and loss my faith that poor people need help, I do not generalize all the poor people in my country but this gambling addicts are part of the poverty line and that is infuriating because they have the stimulus while other more poor people haven't received it yet, in the report I have read there are also individual who used the stimulus cash as a front for drug money, this kind of people is the most vile and they make me repulse which is kind of sad and pathetic for these people not being grateful to the help that they receive but instead abuse it and play the victim when get caught, the good thing about that is that they are strip of benefits that all the poor people receive from the government and they are sentenced to prison. This is what you can expect from a third world country like mine, people play the victim when they get caught red handed and justify their mistakes with irrational reasons.

You may be right in theory.However I have had anxiety during this time as I decided to play slot games and to test with small bets for how many spins the bonus game or winning features like expanding wilds until you win in a spin can happen.The result being not good,many games that I have tried gave the bonus game after more than 300-500 spins which as you can imagine make you lose money overall by raising anxiety.I am trying to quit but damn this slots are addicted.
