Short-term investment in a bear market is not entirely wise, because after making a small profit from short-term trading, a bull market may follow, but in the case of a short-term trade, you can miss out on significantly larger profits. The advantage of long-term trading is that you don't have to worry about time fluctuations, all you have to do is buy and wait for the bull market.
If you do a short term trade, you do not suddenly stop, you keep on doing that and if there is a bull then they will keep on trading and making profit during the bull period as well. Many people think "well if I hold it now, I will make more money from the person that bought it in the morning and sold at night" but they do not realize that the trader will end up buying again next morning and selling next night.

So, if you are a good trader then you could make a profit from any situation and any money, but if you are not then you are going to end up with a bit of a problem when trading even on the best markets so the point is not the time but how great you are.
We should not risk our Bitcoin by doing trading because trading is like gambling. It's a chance of 50 percent price goes up and 50 percent chance of price going down.
But nobody knows where's Bitcoin's price heading tomorrow or in a week.
Many people have lost money from trading, so better avoid it.

Our best option is HODL because Bitcoin is scarce and will increase in price very massively over time. But it needs time. Be patience and you will be rewarded.
Just HODL

You have a point but there's always a solution to every issue if we can search dip.
Yes, those who are waiting for the may suffer if the market continues to dump but this is only applicable to short-term investors and for the long term there's no reason for the to suffer.
BTC and other altcoins are prone to dump through FUD news but another side of the story is that there's always something good about it because every market trend presents an opportunity.

Short-term investment is mainly for crypto day traders and it could be wise based on the trader's decision because I believe every short-term investor also setup a long-term investment strategy in other not to miss the opportunity the market will showcase in the future.
Having said that, Bitcoin investment more than just buying low, hold for the long term, and sell high. i am saying this because I have seen a lot of long-term holders who are worried whenever the market fluctuates.

We can't say that bitcoin is dead, but bitcoin has seriously lost power. Currently, the total crypto volume has dropped below a trillion dollars. This is a serious situation. I don't think we will see a bull market for at least another year.
Yes Bitcoin is not dead but Bitcoin has suffered severely.Severe damage means that Bitcoin has been destroyed so much that it is very harmful for Bitcoin.People are now tensed if the price of Bitcoin falls further.Bitcoin's total volume has decreased to lower the price. However we can finally say Bitcoin is not dead. The future will not die but something better will be invented.

All the news about bitcoin dying has been happening time and time again in my opinion maybe just to get a lower price and to be able to adopt at the lowest possible cost, or maybe they really went bankrupt because of their own stupidity.
and even when bitcoin “died”, crypto believers tried to buy more and slowly but surely bitcoin became a way to store value, not just a speculative asset. Regardless of the price, it's here to stay.
so those who say bitcoin is dead will not be able to affect those who have been in this industry for a long time and also those who study and understand bitcoin well, it's better to just ignore it because eventually bitcoin will rise again and one of the signs is that it is declared dead, as previously.
Perhaps, it never has changed as we keep hearing these things once the market is in decline. Well, I'm not sure how it gives an impact on our mindset but I see that people already know that after this drop and market corrections prices will tend to rise and going to bullish once again. So, instead of listening to these negative news and market attacks, we'd better ignore this as this was not the case to happen. And we have to understand the volatile nature of the market and therefore expect changes in its trend from time to time.
As long as bitcoin is still very prominent, expect that negative speculation like this will always be present. But it won’t be a reason to destroy or ruin our faith in bitcoin because we know exactly the truth, and that bitcoin up to these days is very promising and still dominating the whole crypto market. So better ignore everything about bitcoin attacks as they can’t be helpful in the first place.
You are a complete noob if you do really just let yourself do believe on with these kind of fuds or negative sentiment that circles around whenever Bitcoin or the entire market do make out some bearish momentum.
If you've been here then you wouldnt really be saying off things like this on which we've been through in lots of storms and glory days here on this market and now when price is on deep reds there are still
people that Bitcoin is dead? Wait a little further and you would see the reality of this market which it would eventually or definitely making up some recovery afterwards.
Bitcoin isnt dead but it is really just on that correction which had been always part of the market.

It is not today that I began to hear of bitcoins death, bitcoin has died so many times and my question is why is it still dying? When we hear the rumor of bitcoin dying, it is may be some shit coin creators wanting to create FUD so that people can leave bitcoin and invest in their coins.
You are right, many Altcoins tried to spread FUD against Bitcoin and will keep spreading FUD but won't succeed.
Altcoiners can call Bitcoin slow for example. But it won't make any difference for Bitcoin because Bitcoin is already established.

Another reason is people who missed out to buy bitcoin at a certain low, they try to cause FUD so that weak hands will sell off and drag the price low for them to accumulate the more.
Yes, it is a reason because some people missed Bitcoin and are now spreading FUD to get it at a cheaper price.  Cheesy
Such people will eventually support Bitcoin later after buying big bags.
Even Michael Saylor didn't like Bitcoin 10 years ago and now, he is bullish.

You have a point and I think by now people (except the newbie which may be ignorance and also panic sell)should have understood that anyone can say falsely about Bitcoin to get the attention of the general public or to create some FUD in the market.

If we look at it from this angle when a project owner that sees BTC as a hindrance tries every possible means to take down and fail with the inclusion of the government and they find it to be inevitable. Technically, to that person, the project is dead because it's inevitable like demise which is the end of all humans.
Another side of this story is the negative impact of FUD. Some would say "take advantage of those who are panic selling" but in reality, those who are waiting for the dip would also suffer simply because the market price will continuously fall as more people fall into the 'story', sort of a "domino effect". Bitcoin by all means in this industry, is a 'strong' coin which is expected, always, to be back to its feet no matter how low its price get. But since all tokens including BTC, depends on market demand, it is still prone of huge problems regarding false news about this industry.

A Bitcoiner chooses. A slave obeys.
Bitcoin seems to die during every dump Roll Eyes

I don't mind the FUD anymore, to be honest. All this unnecessary panic only does one thing: Transfer the coins of weak hands to the strong hands. And not only that but at a cheap price too! So I say thank you very much for all the low-priced Bitcoins!

At some point everyone goes from panicking about what is happening to Bitcoin during dumps to understanding the fact that if you do not buy the dip, you will regret it later. And thats the way it always goes, if history has taught us anything.

Thats why I try to buy every dip.

Bitcoin have been in existence since 2009, bitcoin price was really small then but see bitcoin price today we all see that bitcoin agave been growing and it will continue to grow bitcoin have been ban by some countries like china but bitcoin did not now, bitcoin have faced lot’s of challenges but is still alive and the price is growing everyday so am sure nothing will kill bitcoin, those people saying bitcoin will die are just anti bitcoin and they can’t do anything that will stop bitcoin from growing.
Only few had believed on bitcoin potential on that time on which to those who had believed are the ones who had benefit specially now that the price is really how many times folded.
Lots had regretted and lots had lost their coins that they had got into those early years or times.Bitcoin isnt  dead and it is really just a common impression since back then
whenever it do really make out some bearish moment or on the entire market. For those who had been on this market for how many years or even just a couple then these movements
arent something that you should freak out.

That's not the real situation, consult the past records on the bitcoin price and check how volatile it has always been before now, if it does not get dip how will someone like you gain access to set in and invest, there's no manipulations in bitcoin price by any means, all you need is to understand the right timing for it because that's the mode of it operations, it volatile in nature and demand and supply are part of it rudiments

Winding down.
Bitcoin is Dead?
Better read this up https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/
Bitcoin has died 461 times

But look at on where we now?
It do still stood strong despite of different market conditions and situations.
Lots had made out some negative sentiment but still we do able to hold out.
Feel sorry for those who had panic sell and good for those who accumulate cheap.
It does depend on how you do treat up and decide of these things.
I guess every time the market becomes bearish, speculations starts to arise about bitcoin is dead, so it’s like the people are already used to hear it. Well, the truth is if bitcoin is dead, then we won’t see any price increase for bitcoin anymore, and because of that the altcoins market will bound to shut down too. But mate, this is not what happening in the market now. Bitcoin still continue to grow despite of its flaws, and established altcoins follow the path of bitcoin too. Bitcoin is very alive and kicking up to these days.

I believe Bitcoin will never die. Bitcoin is gaining more and more popularity. As the day goes by we see the popularity of Bitcoin is increasing. There will come a time when Bitcoin will be accepted by everyone and all transactions will start using Bitcoin. Now if you look at different places you can pay with bitcoins in shopping malls petrol pumps petrol and many more things can be done with bitcoins. The price of Bitcoin may not be in the position it is in now but from this position many people are thinking about Bitcoin. But I will say Bitcoin will not die but will create more new records and surprise all people.

I only say Bitcoin is dead when its price turns to ZERO. I mean when we can never see Bitcoin in the market.

Everyone has the right to speak anything but everyone has the right not to believe. I am one who has not believed if Bitcoin will go to Zero or worthless. This is because I have gone through several years of betting and Bitcoin can always work better than anything else.
In addition crypto and digital currencies are the future. Nowadays all are turning to digital. Even the state has studied, and they have created their own digital currency. Sometimes people who say bad are just a strategy to make a profit. So I will remain calm and keep trying to improve my BTC.
