Hey guys,
I dont know what to do...
i just set up my first wallet on blockchain and just got send a 100 bucks.
I did not do anything yet, so it cannot be on purpose. Can i contact that poor guy somehow and give him his money back?
I dont know why, but i feel really bad for having that money.
Thanks guys.

Without showing tx id, or sender address, or receiver address, this will not help the one that made the mistake.
And it may be just trolling, since there's no proof...

I think you should just keep it, the sender will learn a lesson of checking address everytime when sending Grin
Also that kind of thing does not happen every day.

you don't have many options sending it back could make the money be lost if it was sent from a exchange.

happened to me yesterday too, i recieved small amount like $5 or so in my coinbase but when i checked the address on the blockchain and google it has only a single transaction and never used it so i think its a gift from someone OR it is possible (though unlikely) that someone have the same bitcoin address as ours

Its kinda weird someone sending you a free 100 dollars, but I guess its not your fault.
You are one lucky guy, why are you feeling bad for that money? just considered it
a gift from someone  Smiley. I guess this will be a "good" learning experience from him
to double check every transaction he will do in the future.

There was one guy/gal in the community said that he got 40 bitcoin and she/he took
it but I dunno if is real or not.

can't you just send it back to the same address you got  it from?
Sending it back to the address directly might not be a good idea. It maybe from an address which can not take a receiving transaction. I don't know what it's called but I also have a wallet before which sending back coins will not result to me getting the money back.
Better post the address here so we can help track whoever that address belongs to.

that is if the sender accidentaly sent it from an exchange or any online wallet which you don't have control over your private key (coinbase, xapo and other exchanges for example) but if it is sent from a desktop wallet, blockchain.info or any other wallet that the sender have full control over the private key it is possible

Did you receive the transaction or was it already there when you opened a new wallet?

you could always just send the bitcoin back to the sending address, remember to pay the fee from the transaction.

I'd call myself lucky if I had this happen... Technically it's yours, but if you feel worrisome i'd suggest sending it back to the source transaction ID.

No matter the choice made, the value will likely go up to more so you'd be better off forgetting about morals on this one since someone made a common error (I've seen others who had this same sign of luck.)

Or post the address here and see if anyone claims it is there's?
They can prove this by signing the address as only the owner of the private key (the part that controls the address) can sign an address.

It is highly impossible of what you are saying but even if you have got it then just enjoy it, because it may be like what we say referral bonus if you have clicked anyones referral link and opened a blockchain wallet. So just use it as you wish

Before you do anything, can you see if it is confirmed?

It may not be and just be pointing out issues with blockchain.info.

That's not your fault.
And I don't think that you can do something about it.
If you feel guilty, you can donate the money into a charity!
( An alternative would be sending them to me, ehh cough cough Tongue )

Jokes aside, keep calm, don't worry about anything.
