My favorite comment so far on it is from the Wall Street Observer thread Smiley
Some dude spent the whole month targeting 420 then someone else pushed it down Smiley

Not every dump is to cause the price to drop down further.

Could be an investor with preset sell limits which got reached, causing him to cash out.

Everything is always so dramatic over here.. Wink

I guess whoever did it has the cash, so it went exactly as planned...

Maybe someone placed a MASSIVE S7 order when batch 4 opened up.  There's this thing called the Bitcoin economy that has a little bit to do with the price outside of just speculators and manipulators.

You think Bitmain sold 30k BTC .. possible I guess.

Some one probably wanted to trigger a lot panic sellers and stop loss orders. It's back to over $400 again. Whoever it was, he or she or they, have a lot of wealth. Let's see what will happen the comming days. I hope for a stable period.

A) Buy up more BTC buy hitting stop losses

Hmm? In a market like this (a bubble market atm I believe) I don't think selling a lot of BTC which is quickly bought up is the best tactic for that. Smiley

B) Pump and dump,  buy at 220, pump up, sell,  It's happened a few times but this time.. it blew pas the $300 range.

Perhaps, but I don't think Bitcoin is THAT open to manipulation by pump 'n' dump.

I don't see any good reason they would dump that much BTC at once, to be honest...it doesn't make sense. They must have lost a fair chunk of change doing that, and I'm not entirely sure what they were trying to accomplish if they were either trying to cash out or genuinely bring the price down.

I am thinking it's more of A, the manipulator owns this market.. :S.

TRUMP IS DOING THE BEST! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
What is this thread supposed to be about again?
Price of $420 back down to $378.
now getting back in form to $395 now. People are buying up now so should be back on track to get the train back on the tracks.

TRUMP IS DOING THE BEST! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Sorry to noob up this thread but am i right that someone dumped just shy of 3000 coins on btc-e?
I thought someone did this. With a gross tumble in a matter of minutes, that does draw concern of what happened all the sudden with a steady incline in the last week and a half of trading.
I just lost some major money in a matter of moments  Angry

Someone / group dumped a lot of coins to tank the price.. except it didn't keep going down..

HUMILIATION

Could an early adopter just be cashing out?

I don't see why they would now instead of at $1100 or $600. It could be, I would be a group attempting to manipulate the price and make a killing of pumping the price up and dump their coins on people.  This plan works great until your dump.. fails to dump.. the price jumps past your sell point and you're standing there watching the market on the side lines.

I for see more bigger dumps attempting incoming very shortly.

Definitely. Many people will try to dump, and maybe even a few will be successful, and bring BTC to the thousands. Let's hope no one causes bitcoin to go down.

Let's just hope.
